I had an exchange of emails with CJ today since I still owed her money. She does not want to come off as a bad guy and ask the deadbeats to send her the money they owe her for the free (postage only items) as well as some of the items she purhcased specifically for the individuals. I was late in paying since I did not know how much I owed her for the Christmas ornament. She does a tremendous amount of work (running around amongst many other things) for all of us and I would hate to see her get burned and burned out due to a few people who do not follow thru with their promises. So if you still owe her money for postage or items you ordered how about paying up. While I am being the unofficial Sgt. at Arms, collection agency, A$$hole, how about buying a CAAP CD to support this site, in a very small way. Mike K. has fallen on hard times and could use your support. (That last sentence was total BS just to see if you are still paying attention). This site is free and the entertainment value along with the valuable assistance of people like Laddie, Al, Dan P, Silver Bullet, etc is invaluable. The CD is very good and very good quality. The site is free. Send Mike K money for a CD so he can recoup some of what he has in them. Thank you for your support. This was posted strictly by me without the prior knowledge or approval of CJ or Mike K. They do not want to name names and embarass people. ------------------ |

Al, I didn't change it. I do not know who changed it, but it does look a lot better. I kind of look like the neighbor on "Tool Time" or whatever the name of that show with Tim whoever is on. The one that looks over the fence. I have never seen the entire show so I don't know the name of it. ------------------ |

Hey Ed, The name of the show is TIM ALLEN ... TOOl TIME and the neighbor over the fence is WILSON I changed your banner. I got tired of seeing the eagle and thought, that eagle has nothing to do with Prowlers. Glad you liked it.. I'm to blame Later.. |

onaprwl, Eds banner as well as yours is being hosted by my server. All the banners I make get hosted by dpena.com . Only one enthusiast decided to move it to their own server. As long as they continue to be hosted by my server dpena.com then I can make changes. I knew Ed would not mind a change!! Later... |

Dan, I like the new look much better and now Alley Cat cannot make the comparison to the eagle's beak and mine quite as easily. lol. Is the name of the show Tool Time or is that the name of the show within a show??? yeah, Wilson is the guy, and I am kind of like Mr. Wilson next door to Dennis the Menace. Thanks for the new banner. I had thanked you previously but was not sure you changed it. ------------------ |

Just a suggestion, but it might be nice if you who receive things from CJ would send her a littel extra something, for her time. So she will have some incentive to keep doing it. DON'T take people for granted. JMO but I practice what I preach. After all I'm sure she has better things to do with her time. ------------------ Toby |

The correct name of the show in question is Home Improvement starring Tim Allen in the role of Tim Taylor, the host of a local tv show called Tool Time. His "over-the-fence" neighbor's name was Wilson Wilson, affectionately known as "Wilson". Hope this clears up any questions that have been posed. |

quote: Okay.......I wasn't going to post on this thread, but now I have to! Ed.....I was a little bit more than "shocked" to see this post! I do want to say that 95% of those who need to send reimbursement for various things are very prompt. In fact, they are usually emailing or posting "how much do I owe you?" before I can get through the stack of paperwork to email them the answer to that question! 3% are maybe a little slow.....forgot.....dog ate the email.....brain fade...things like that, but with a prodding email from me, they do respond, which I appreciate. 2% don't send reimbursement.....don't answer emails.....I've even resorted to letters......to no avail! So far, that has only happened when it has been postage/packaging costs for free items. I guess in that respect, based on the tons of shopping and shipping I've done, I'm pretty lucky! Oh, yeah....thank Bob for the use of his credit card!! Sometimes it gets smokin' pretty good!! Plowboy.....Thank you for the kind words and thoughts. However, I hope everyone understands that I truly don't mind doing this for the owners.....otherwise I wouldn't offer.....! There have been a great many who have included extra, and although it's not necessary, and definitely not expected it is appreciated. There have also been a few surprises in the mail which were greatly appreciated, also. I don't feel taken for granted; everyone always says "thank you" and that they appreciate my efforts. If there ever came a day that I felt that way, I would simply not do it anymore....I don't see that happening, though! At the risk of sounding "corny".....I truly do feel lucky to own my Cats and to be a part of this great group of people. It's not hard to want to help out such special friends! Having had to move/transfer 11 times in 34 years of marriage has also made it difficult to make and maintain many long-lasting friendships. Speaking for myself, this group has become an "anchor" for us.......and given us the wonderful opportunity to have and share a common "passion".
quote: I do?? lol! Sorry, I didn't mean to get on a soapbox......get eloquent on you guys again.......or send subliminal messages!! lol! I've got packaging, shipping and emailing to do!!! |

CJ, I did not mean to shock you or create a controversy. You should be getting 100 % without any problem. I know you did not want to create a stir but sometimes people need a jolt to get moving. Sorry if I created a problem for you. That was not my aim. I was trying to help you recoup your money. Thanks again for all you do for me and the rest of us. ------------------ |

My very first experience with the POA was when I e-mailed CJ and asked if I could purchase a Black Tie CD, eventhough I wasn't an owner. Without hesitation she was gracious and accomodating. Note to all: Yet another excuse for me to use with my wife: "Honey, we HAVE to buy the car, I bought the CD!" I knew through CJ's kindness that this was a special group. A small matter to some people, but it made a big impact on me. Thanks. Kevin This message has been edited by jkburns on 03-20-2002 at 09:35 PM |

rAY you were being such a good little boy for about 3 weeks after you won the t-shirt. This is usually your cycle. Good for 3 to 4 weeks and then you fall off the wagon. What happened did you run out of your medications again? PLEASE call the Doctor and get your refills so that the rest of us don't have to put up with your asinine sarcasm. By the way I still vote for you to leave the board. Black 2000 ------------------ |
