Wellllllll... count me in ! Finally took delivery (waited a few weeks for the snow to let up) yesterday of my new Yellow 2002 Prowler... 32 miles on it (7 were mine) when I left the showroom yesterday and 212 when I put it to bed last night.. and I didn't even GO anywhere ! Oh What Fun It Is to Ride !!! Have really enjoyed 'peekin' in on you folks' here the last few weeks while waiting... was very helpful and reassuring to see so many Proud Prowler Owners! Flaps on order... should be 'first' thing I think... any other "Gotta Haves" y'all recommend.... well.... would love the dual exhaust, superchargers, etc... but first things first ya know ! Colorado eh ? Havent been to Pikes Peak since I was in JrHigh and we wont talk about how LONG that's been ! Anyway... Thanks... and Hello ! |

Thanks to all for the "welcome mat" ! Expected no less Looking forward to our first 'trip' next month.. to the home state of Texas (hence the nick).. will be staying at College Station, and traveling from there... including to Houston, Beaumont, Temple. Cuttin' the required inch off the flaps... is that front AND rear.. or just the front please? Dont see a need for rear modifications, but you guys know... Help here Pls? Ceramic Raybestos... from ?? Online site, link pls ? Thanks again |

Geno - Any parts store should carry them. Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Checker, NAPA, CarQuest, etc. Cost can run between $60 to $85, depending on your area. Link: www.raybestos.com |

Geno Tex, trim the front flaps only. The flaps on the front can drag over speed bumps and can also get pinched if you drive into a pot hole and then attempt to back up. The flap hits the back of the hole, gets pressed against the tire since it is so close to the tire and when you roll back it pulls the fender down to the rear. Doesn't sound like it would likely happen, but it has several times. Be especially cautious in parking lots that are not paved or in poor repair. ------------------ |

Congrats and welcome to the club. Like you, I spent some time browsing the board before I bought. And, I too am the proud owner of a yellow '02 Kat. Put front splash guards and trailor hitch day one. Shimmers the next week. Zaino polish there after. Ceramic pads and Borla exhaust next. Doesn't take long to get into the "Kat". Again, congrats |
