Well after 2 years I finally finish my garage. Started with just your basic exposed 2x4's. This weekend was the final touch. I installed on my cement floor a product called RaceDeck. These are one foot panels that just snap together and if you move you can take with you. :-) Very easy to install and have a 10 year warranty. Best part I can now sell these as well. For more pictures and info check out http://www.zr1.net/garage.html

Great looking floor . Is it slippery dry or wet ?
Will it hold up to all day traffic ? Can it be cut to fit around things
Thanks

Not slippery at all. They have a steel diamond pattern on them. This is why I bought these because living in New England and dealing with snow and such I wanted something I wouldn't slip on. They are easy to cut. I used a table saw but you can use anything from a razor blade to any type of saw. I made several cuts around corners, stairs, etc. Did the whole garage in about 7 hours.

My garage is about 22' by 25' and it took about 480 tiles
to do. The cost with shipping was about $2,000. Not cheap
but then again I can take it with me if I move and I don't have to worry about peeling.

my tiles cost me $584.00 for a 10 x 15 area, and includes borders, they gave me a break on the yellow, because they had them at this years sema show, and just came out with them and the girl said other than that they were put away, so i got those for $2.50 a piece, anyone interested just tell them your showing your car or cars depending on size, they like that for advertising purposes! But they make a wood look, marble, granite, it's endless. When i had it at the world of wheels, and setting up. i must of had people stopping and standing around watching, they were amazed how fast and easy to install. Took me about 15 minutes for 10 x 15 area, and another 5 for end caps. Well i'm glad you like it and now using it. I'll be doing the same in my new garage, but maybe passion blue and pink tiles, "toodles"
(i don't think so!!!!!!!!!)

That's about right, factory pricing is $3.75 each. I can save you a little by selling them for $3.45 each. They gave
you a great deal on the yellow. I guess yellow doesn't sell well. Just kidding!!

Myself being a Tile contractor you guys got my interest. $3.75 a sq. ft. is not expensive in the tile world. Curious...What are they made of and is there no bonding???, they just lay there???.

They are made of polypropylene. The 1 foot square panels just snap together. It's more a free floating type of floor.
No prep work is needed except sweeping the floor. :-)

sassy and everyone else www.racedeck.com or i think www.snaplock.com they are the biggest supplier i beleive, i should ask them for a commission because of how many people were seriously interested in them at world of wheels, it's hard to keep secrets with all these spys!!!!!!!!!!!
But all of you, if you do like product, I'm sure if you want to permantly fix to floor you could! and there is so many styles! it's allot better than boring concrete, or like having a purple prowler, i don't know but when i see that color i start singing "i love you, you love me where a happy family with a great" alright enough sorry wild 1 had to get you back, seriously car and garage looks great. I'm sure will hook up this year when i get done with my project! shhh!!!!! spys are everywhere, gotta go helecopters overhead! must be paparazzi

Wild1,

The floor looks great . .

After checking out the instructions on installation - your solution was much easier and faster than ours. We did two areas - a double and a single garage floor with ceramic tiles. If we had to do it all over again we would probably go the route you did. Ceramic tile is nice but lots of work and a very big mess (the grout). Here is what we did . . .

More garage pics

------------------

Current mods: Mopar dual exhaust & front mudflaps; MacMotorsports Air Intake;
Real Rod Air Patrol; Graphics by Balistek Designs; ($8) Chrome grille;
Chrome tire valve-stem covers; Painted rear bumper lettering; Prowler Pro Gears,
Synthetic Oil; Raybestos Ceramic Brake Pads; TGF Door Panel Inserts & Headrest Covers;
SheepskinExpress Sheepskin Seatcovers

More 'Pumpkin' photos . . . . . More cars and other stuff

WILD1 just wondering how do you heat the garage mine is heated by hot water pipes in the floor would this floor hold up to the temp. with out curling the tiles the floor is a constant 72%F don,t want the cat to catch a cold the cost for heating amy garage is about $1.00 a day 24 by 26. the hot water comes from the hot water tank in the house.
thank's bye for now LIVIN XL BILL S

WILD THING are you picking on my Barney Prowler!

Pumpkin your garage looks great! I'll bet it was a lot of work. Do you have any problems with the grout cracking from cars driving on it?

Bill my garage is not heated. If I need heat I just open the door to the house and freeze the Mrs. out. If you look at the design of the panels you can see heat nor cold will effect them. Also if you go to their web site www.snaplock.com and fill out the more info form they will send you a sample of the floor.
