Anyone know if the build sheet is in the Prowler somewhere? For those of us that didn't get to go to the factory to see their's being built, I was curious to know if this comes with the cat? ------------------ This message has been edited by MeanGene on 02-15-2002 at 12:45 PM |

Like with a Corvette where the build sheet is actually stuffed into the frame rail or on top of the gas tank (oleder models), it would be nice to know if there was one to hunt for. Or ... and this may be a CJ thing or Mike K. project (or even Sassy with all her high level contacts, worldly knowledge and deep insights thang) ... how about the ability to order a "copy of", if not the original, of our respective build sheets for the current Kats that we now own. Again, this is something any Corvette owner can do through the Bowling Green facilities ... How cool would THAT be to have this additional piece of documentation with our beloved "collectibles". Also, with the plant being shut dowm it may give some personeel there something to do between assignments. Can we make this happen? |

It is my understanding that these build sheets are filed at the plant. They are kept as records with regard to the parts, etc. that were installed on the specific vehicle. These records are kept for recall purposes. Whether or not we can obtain copies is something I don't know, but I will be at the plant again next week and I will ask that question. |

If and when these might be available, I surely want one to keep with all the other Yeller Cat stuff. Keep us posted. THANKS, Jay ------------------ |

Maybe Sylvia's replacement can find time between her normal duties and manning (womanning?) that CAAP store to fulfill requests from us eager Prowler owners ... I want my build sheet, for sure! |

Last week while I was at the plant, I asked about getting copies of the build sheets for the cars. I was told "No". It seems that the build sheets are filed for three months and then they are disposed of. I was told that they do not have the staffing to do this, even if they wanted to.....which they won't. Sorry.......I struck out again! |

I asked my dealership about build sheet's, he got on his computer and produced what is called a "VEHICLE INFORMATION PLUS SUMMARY REPORT". Tried to post a copy but I can't figure out how to do it. It lists all the code's with the corresponding options, car color and the in service date. Gary This message has been edited by Gary Archer on 03-02-2002 at 05:30 PM |
