Just getting around to posting some photos of this event. It was a blast. There must have been about 100 cars that got to take the two laps around the 3.6 mile course that was used in the Rolex 24 hour race. There were four Prowlers, lots of Vipers, Ferraris, Lambos, Porshes, and even a 700,000 dollar Jaguar. Here's a few photos.

This is where we parked inside the track upon arriving.

This is KoolKat's black Kat.

Our Kat beside a Viper RT/10.

Viper Venom 650R, Gary & Linda's Black Kat, KoolKat, and others.

Gary & Linda.

Me (Bill) & Lucy.

Lined up ready to go.

More to come soon.

Another batch.

Lined up.

Heading out on the track behind a Viper GTS.

Two Prowlers and a Viper in front of us.

Front straight with start/finish line is sight.

We actually hit 100mph once but they didn't let us up on the high banking.

The Viper pulled away from us a little down the back stretch but we caught him under braking as we entered the chicane. All in all it was an unforgettable experience just to be out on the track at Daytona especially since we are big Nascar fans.

Must have been a blast to drive 100 mph on the Daytona Speedway in your own car!

Excellent shots.
Thanks for sharing with us.

Al, here's a couple more photos for you.
AlleyKat, we unfortunately won't be able to make the Colorado trip. I'm disappointed that we won't be able to meet you especially after all that Ed Monahan has told us about you! lol We would like to see for ourselves if it is all true. Just kidding. We will be at the Kentucky event in May and it's looking good for Woodward. Hope to meet you soon.

A Jaguar XJ220 worth 700,000! Also a V-6 engine and no one asked him how come it didn't have a V-8!

A Viper Venom 600! No one asked him why he didn't have a V-8 either!

Right on Bob!

Everybody that hangs out with the Purple Posse, knows that Bill is just the front man, the pictures are all Lucy. Bill's just the "poser" and wheelman -lol. Great ones -Lucy!

Hey Guys,
If I was taking the pictures and she was driving I probably would have held the camera backwards or something and there would have been a bunch of close-up pictures of me terrified as we headed for the guardrail! Things worked out fine just the way we had it.

"A Jaguar XJ220 worth 700,000! Also a V-6 engine and no one asked him how come it didn't have a V-8!"

I just wanted to correct the above statement. When the new Jag was shown they pre-sold 300 of them, but when they announced that the engine was a V6, not a V12, most orders were cancelled.
