Chris, the base on that one is different then mine. Mine says "Meaningful Innovation Plymouth Rennaissance Meeting January 3rd, 1996" Guess there were a few different runs made. You know, it wouldn't be too hard for someone to cast up some bases and put the $15.00 cat on top and make big profit  ------------------ |

Al is correct! That one is not THE Puddle Prowler as referred to by Prowler collectors. The one Al has is a "real" Puddle Prowler. I am a retired Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge/Jeep dealer and I just sold my personal Puddle Prowler to a member of this board. This is not to say that the one referred to in the initial post is not a unique collectible but it is not what is referred to as the "Puddle" Prowler. I also have a "Puddle" Prowler car without the base and am looking for a base from my many contacts so I will have another complete Puddle Prowler for myself or to sell if the price is right. Mine is new in the box and on the left hand side of the clear plastic window is a small red sign which says "Dealers Limited Edition"! I also have another one which is not the Puddle Prowler car even though the box and the car are the same because the little red sign says "Collectors Edition" and you see those on ebay from time to time. |

The "puddle" Prowler that Bob received as part of the Prowler Team has the Prowler logo, Plymouth badge and says Special Limited Edition on the bottom part of the puddle. If you turn it around to look at the other side of the car, it says : "Meaningful Innovation Plymouth Rennaissance Meeting January 3rd, 1996" on that part of the puddle. After looking at the picture of the one on Ebay, that was obviously done for the Chrysler Concours d'Elegance event at Pebble Beach. I know which company did these bases and I guess I could ask them how many different versions they did, how many of each version and who the different versions were given to.
