While putting together the Mardi Gras Weekend in Port Arthur I have run across three Prowler owners who didn't even know there was any Prowler Club of any kind!! What with there only being about 11,000 of these cars in the world, you would think the word would be out by now? Two of the three are not new owners, they have 1999's!

When we had our Christmas party we picked up another two owners who didn't know about us either.. Needless to say they now know and will be joining the Club with the mostest and the bestest of it all... The majority of these new folks didn't believe me when I said it was free!!

Just thought I'd share what surprises me...

I agree Fred. Many..Many Prowler owners have no idea that this site or the organization is out here. Maybe some or most don't have computers? Hard to believe in this world of technology.....but maybe?

Larry, I thought that also, about not having computers, but all 5 of them at least have e-mail so their on the net in some fashion... One gentleman said he was a member of the Viper Club but didn't know about a Prowler Club and he owns two newspapers in Galveston... He also sent me a note after one event and commented on how friendly the Prowler owners were compared to some other car clubs he has been in... Kool!

Fred - I know what you mean. I have only seen four other Prowlers in town and talked with two of the owners. Neither was interested in POA or Prowler online. I figure it is their loss.

One of the great things that was unexpected by me before I bought my car, is the friendships made online and the fun we have had at POA events.

Also, there must be a lot of people that just monitor prowleronline occassionly because it seems that only about 10 to 15% post regularly and the most cars we have ever had together at one time was 58 cars at Woodward last year.

Happy Prowling

Marty

It is my thought that all of us need to keep getting the word out to the unknown. I've always found an extended hand is the best way to start and present the POA organization. They are out there, we just need to keep plugging away. WE are growing, so keep up the good work!

I have noted that there is a sort of cut off age where people are computer savy, enough to get online etc. like ED (LOL), or they get extremly angry and resent the question in the first place. I'll bet that 95% of those Prolwer owners that are not interested in the POA are of the second type. The cut off age is about 56 years old. Ed is 55 and so he just makes the grade.

One of the first things I did after I bought mine was to start seraching the net for a Prowler Club. Another thing many Prowler owners don't know about thier Kat is that there is the Prowler Logo embossed in insulation under the hood.

Your right Rich; but I can name six owners today that DO know about the Kat under the hood, lol. Now where did I put that paint brush? Oh, on the web page, I too started looking a few months prior to my purchase and found this site. Been looking in daily ever since. Good work Mike!

Alley Kat, your right about getting the word out. I made myself some business cards with the POA logo and my information on them. I hand them out at events and also I have sent a bunch out to dealers in the area. I've asked them to pass them along to any Prowler buyers and service customers. I've already been told that one current owner was given one at his dealer so that is another way.

I also made up similar bussiness cards for a number of the owners with a picture of their car, POA Logo and just their Name and City, State. These they can hand out when at events to other owners so we all get to know each other...
