After some discussion, Mike and I have decided to offer a Prowler Owners Association / Prowleronline.com jacket to all Prowler Owners!!

We've decided to hold a contest to design a POA jacket that all members can proudly wear!! Anyone who is interested can, of course, enter the contest. Mike and I will select three designs from all that are submitted. We will then post those and let the Prowler Owners vote for their favorite!! The winning design will then become the Official Prowler Owners Association / Prowleronline.com jacket!!

Here is a picture and description of the jacket we will be using: Denim and Twill Letterman Jacket.....The 100% light blue cotton denim body is lined with cotton for comfort and the khaki cotton twill sleeves are lined with nylon for easy on and off. The collar, cuffs and waistband have striped knit trim. It snaps up the front, has an inside chest pocket and front slash pockets. The 13.75 ounce denim is stonewashed for a soft look and feel. Comes in Unisex sizes XS - 4XL

Please keep in mind that the jacket will be done in embroidery. The fewer color changes the less expensive the jacket will be.

HERE ARE THE RULES:

1. The design must incorporate the current Prowler Owners Association/Prowleronline.com logo.

2. The design can incorporate the front, full back, and/or sleeves.

3. Please submit your entry via email to me as a downloadable file. My email address is Only1CJay@home.com I will forward a copy to Mike for review.

4. Deadline for designs is March 1, 2002.

HERE IS THE PRIZE!:

The winner of the POA/Prowleronline.com jacket design contest will win:

1. Bragging rights!!
2. A free Prowler Owners Association / Prowleronline.com jacket.

Get your thinking caps on and those colored pens and pencils to work!!! I hope everyone will participate in this contest! Let's see what a great jacket design we can come up with!!! This jacket should be ready for the Colorado event!!

Thanks.

What a GREAT idea CJ! I've been looking for a jacket, and it looks like I'll be able to get it in MY color (blue).

I'll be very interested as soon as the official design is agreed upon!

I just wanted to clarify this contest a bit. I don't want anyone to think that this contest is just for those people who can do elaborate graphic designs. Sometimes, less is more. Even if you only submit an idea of where you would like to see logos on the jacket, and what type of logos, etc. you have a chance to win!

I will have a sample jacket in tomorrow and I will take photos of it to post, front and back. Anyone can print it off and do your drawing on it and submit it back to me!!!

Likewise to Cliff, CJ. Could you post or e-mail a larger photo and one of the back also.

Also when you say use the current logo does that mean there can be no modification at all? i.e. cartoon car or such?

Thanks.. This is a great idea, thanks to both you and Mike.

Prowler Association logo on left breast of jacket, the below on the rear. I realize the Prowlers I have shown are not stock but this is just for an idea. Could put Prowler Owners Assocation under the Toons

Rich Ware, you were reading my mind... hehehe That is exactly what I had in mind, your Katoons, but perhaps with some smoking wheels or something. The Logo over the breast area and the only comment I have is to use the Orginal Purple color on all of any logos so that you don't get into a color war. Purple is the orginal car color and the POA color.

Fred, Fred,,,,,,,its a blue jacket, and the silver cat will look the best on that shade of blue. Normally I'd agree with you, but not this time. Lets ask the ladies with the color coordinated brain area, as per Cliff Watson

Hmmmmmmmm is this a spinoff from the other sites jackets,, (like i have lol)

How about this, make design for the front , and top of the back of the jacket, then a pic of the prowler of what ever color you desire for the main pic design on the back? and I agree with Larry, silve would look so much better,,lol

Just to show you we are not the originals,,

I've had this jacket two years now. Took it to a seemstress to have some of the wording removed but was talked out of it cause it would show anyway,, Its still a cool jacket,,

So anyway,, I think al POA logo on the front on side, your name on the other. Then on the back top some kind of POA wording, with your personalized color of your car in large image.. Im not the drawer, just thought it was a good idea. .

I was afraid of the color war. I have another design in mind. I am at work now so I will have to work on it tonight. Lets see if I can describe.

On the Top the word Prowler and the Logo

Next line row of 8 Plymouth Prowler toons fornt view four facing right center and four facing lef cneter in each color.

Small print line below something like PLYMOUTH 97, 99 , 00

Next Row Chrysler colors facing left and right center (I can't remember if there are 5 or 6 colors)

Line below Chrysler 01, 02

Possibly last line in larger letters PROWLER OWNERS ASSOCIATION or PROWLERONLINE.COM

This may be too busy of a design but everyone's original color would be displayed

Beware Rich I have always liked your profile the best. I like these kind of designs they make a great statement toward the Hot Rod feeling of the Kat IMO.

I know no matter which design wins it will be a winner, just glad this is being done.

HMmmmmmm.... Color Wars??? No Way!! It needs to be one color of car, your adding more expense by having different colors available. My thoughts as stated, are that the colors should be along the POA/ProwlerOnline colors.. Black car, Purple and White logo... I just thought, as someone else mentioned, the Cartoon version on the back is more a "HotRod Car Club" style.... I've got my front completed, just need the picture of the jacket back next.

Actually the different colors do not increase the cost. If it is embroidered, the machince does not care which color it is sewing. AND THAT'S A FACT, JACK. Each jacket has to be "loaded" onto the machine individually.

Good point Ed. I would like to see different colors. That will allow each of us a little individuality.

There's no need for a color war! Just my two cents.

Rich, you da man!! I happen to like the first one of the two the best. That is something like what we used to have on my very first car club the Road Barons... Of course I know there are those who would prefer perhaps just a good likeness of a stock Prowler... That's the purpose of the contest..

By the way Rich, have you had any time to look at my request that I had sent you? Just curious... Thanks..
