Does anyone know of a clear side marker light or a shoh that could CNC an aluminum badge to replace the stock light. Also, were the back-up lights changed in '01 or '02 ? ------------------ |

Hello No Soul and welcome to ProwlerOnline. You might want to check with George at MGW Ltd. They make a pretty cool CNC trailer hole plug and who knows, they might consider doing the side markers if there was enough interest. http://www.mgwltd.com/hitchplugs.html

If they can make an attractive alum. or billet badge with a prowler cat stamped in, I'd be interested. I think in Arizona alone, I could sell a dozen of them. ------------------ |

I've got one on my car that Dean made out of billet. It has a cat and Prowler Pro 001 on it. I don't have pix but I think the Crazy Horse video had a shot of it while it was on the showroom floor in Radid City. Does anyone know how to post a copy of that? Dean also has made several of them for his car. One says HEMI. ------------------ |

quote: Marc - when I first saw your badges at Ft. Collins, I was totally inspired by them. Then you told me Dean wouldn't sell them without buying the gear package, and I could never figure out why? There is a market out there for just this idea,,,,Dean can have them made and sell separately, so the question remains, why not do it. Marc, sell Dean on the idea. *** Gatlin posted the picture while I was typing the above, good. Only improvement I can see would be to raise/make thicker the plate so that is more flush to the body panel side. This would also be GOOD advertisement for him! *** This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 01-21-2002 at 12:21 PM |

To eliminate the orange lenses on the only true Prowler color, silver, I had the lenses painted silver and removed the bulb. It looks great. It is my understanding that the companies that do the clear "rice burner" light kits could do Prowler lights if someone were willing to pay the nonrecurring costs. What we really need are the blue dots in the tail lights that work. |

I got an email from George at MGW this morning and he will give us a quote if he can get a sample of the side light to look at. Does anyone have a spare light that they can loan to him? ------------------ |

Mike I have a spare one they can use as a template - are they in SoCal? All I have to do is take of my old side panel. Are they the same shape (or reverse shapes?) on both sides? I have never paid attention. ------------------ |

I didn't like the orange zits from the start. After we did the TGF rear valance which meant cutting off the piece of composite behind the rear license plate, I discovered that the curve of that piece is the same as the area around the running lites. Using my dremel very carefully I cut out zit covers and used touch-up paint on the edges. After removing the lites I attached the covers with flexible sealant. The reflection off the surface matches that of the side panel, and they look like a closed vent that was designed that way. It's in the Alley Cat $10 mod tradition. ------------------ |
