Does yours look like this? There is a rubber molding on the back the overs the body seams. Mine seems a bit short for some reason and you can see a small hole below it. Does yours look like this? Thanks This message has been edited by SasyMama on 01-18-2002 at 07:57 AM |

yours look not short but misplaced some Sassy. You can move those yourself if you like. Use a hair dryer to heat it, peel it off and reposition it. It happens,, it's easily fixed,,, John ------------------ |

OH, thanks JD. Just use a heat gun and peel it and move it down. Mmm...sounds easy. I wonder if I should get some fresh ones at the factory. Thanks |

Sassy, Strange how you should mention this.... I was over at Mike K's house the other day and we were talking about this very thing. I did a complete refinish on my Kat with Custom Flames. When I took these off, they were hard to clean off the double sided tape and re-use. I decided to re-order them and actually lost one. To my misfortune, there is no part # in Mike's catalogue or at the dealer. So, looks like I am S.O.L.!! I did notice on Mike's cars that there were no two the same in legnth or fit. On one or two of his cars I noticed the holes. He is going to try to see what the factory says about getting me a couple when he visits them in a couple of weeks. Don

Sasy, It seems to be a common problem (if it's a problem at all), mine are the same way and I don't plan on replacing them. Here's a picture I just took of mine, on another note please let me know how those blue dots work out. Al |

I've found away to fill the gap, take some Wrigley spearmint, has to be spearmint gum and fill the gap and touch up with paint! Warning, don't use sugarless, because if you get caught in the rain, it will cause a chemical reaction that will change the paint pink. (hehehehehe!) Boy do I need a vacation! |

There is a fix for this. They ordered the new ones for me AL. Apparently, the installer at the factory did not put them on right. They are to far under the trunk lid area. They should just go just underneath and pull down and slightly to the left. sort of a modified curve. They are moldable by a heat gun. Sassy |

When you get them Linda, would you please post the part number here? We can't seem to find the number in the DC parts catalog. ------------------ |

Mike They are listed on the micro fishe as a "filler" and order per color of vehicle. They had a hard time to find them. I think that is why they don't have a part number. When I pick them up, I will get what ever number is on the receipt. Sassy |
