Most of you know I take a neutral corner on the great color debates here at the POA. I find it argumentative with no positive meaning - negative to new owners. We are here to share info, enjoy our cats, and create new friendships.

Having said that, I will report the Paul Harvey today stated that during the 2001 model year run, SILVER was preferred by most buyers. One out of five (20%) desired to own a SILVER car. Seems the word is getting out,,,,,,,,,,,they are easier to keep clean

That or because it doesn't show the dirt as easily and they're just too lazy to keep the car clean...

Geez, Big Foot, I saw where you answered Sasy's trivia question correctly and I thought, "He is smarter than he looks" (but that would almost have to be true) then I read this thread and think, "he thinks he is slick but he is not" and then I see where you put my name and yours in the same sentence, in regard to be computer stupid and I just got mad. Not mad because you said I was as dumb as you when it comes to computers, just the fact that you lumped me in with you. I am afraid you are besmirching my reputation when you do that. I am afraid new associates will think I have something in common with you! Cease and desist or I will have your attorney sue you. lol. Congratulations on winning the contest. What did he win, Sasy? Red is the best, by the way. That is what the other 80 % said.

Gee Ed, I see you missed Larry's quote that 1 out of 5 "desired" to own a silver car. That would make them wannabe's not real buyers, so their opinions dont count.
The poll of POA owners on 2/26/01 showed
yellow-20%
purple-18%
black--14%
silver-13%
red----12%
orange-11%
blue---8%
b.t.---3%
w.w.---2%
as the favorite colors by % of owners. (101%?)
Maybe time for a new poll?????

Butchcee, you know they always say the poll is correct plus or minus 4 %. That would make the yellow and Red tied at 16%. Hey, you can do anything with numbers, right? I just wanted to get on Sasquatch's case, since it has been a day or so since I gave him any crap. He needs constant attention to keep him in line. lol

Mohawk Monahan - I couldn't besmirch your reputation as bad as you did in Deadwood last July, when the headboard in your room banged against the wall for only 90 seconds. I'll bet you could find supplemental income down at the 'MinuteLube' location. By lumping you in with me, I'm trying to give the new owners some credence to this website for us letting you become a member!

Ahhhhhhh.......Larry.......

The only reason your "silver" cat was clean in Colorado was because I took pity on it (talk about filthy) and washed it for you..........

Alley Cat..

you are indeed correct. Silver is the most common and purcuhased color of 2001 (per MSNBC). In the previous year, 2000, the most common color purchased was white.

In order, the most purchased and common colors in 2001 per MSNBC were:

Silver:
White:
Blue:
Red:
and?? MSNBC didn't say...

Thanks for reminding us that silver is the most sought after and common color of 2001.

Hugs and Kisses (XOXO)
Jack the Wonder Dog and Chromer his faithful Companion.

Butchee - You left out gold!! Just as the kat is an uncommon car, gold is an uncommon color. And just as the kat attracts attention, a gold kat leaves them breathless!

Ed - you will get more respect in 2002,,,,my resolution for the year! Sandy, call me when he is asleep...

Chromer - Can my dog, Henry VIII, stay with Jack during the Colorado event? He gets lonely. They both look good in silver

Larry, being the contented owner of 2k Red, I must admit that ....SILVER IS THE PERFECT COLOR for those who couldn't make up their mind on a real color!

Truth be known, there was a time at CAAP when they ran out of paint pigment, had all these cool cars around that had to be squirted with something. Powers that be decided that the stuff that kind of looked like silver would be perfect for those who just couldn't make up their mind, and for those who were color blind and wouldn't notice

Gatlin - We were friends...............I'm pulling the plug on the ALLEY CAT STAMP OF APPROVAL on your video tapes

CJ - You do a better job washing,,,,,,,Bob did a good job on the July 4th decor at Deadwood!

Ed - Gatlin didn't want a red one because you already had one,,,,he tried to distance himself away from you, as we all do. He fell for the red cat because he couldn't handle the pressure from the sales staff on him. Even Prowler Keith is going to paint his a diff color because of you!

The real truth is: I had a verbal committement to buy a black 2000 cat for under list, on the day before Thanksgiving in 1999. I had a deposit check to arrive there by 3:00pm that day, but a guy from Calif. walked in the door at noon and bought it out from under me. The dealer promised me the next cat to arrive, but couldn't promise me the color it would be. Since it was priced under list, at that time was a steal, I said I'd take it regardless. The rest is history....................

Butchcee, it sounds like you need to take that LOGIC course you told me about the other day.
Big Foot, I did not even know that they made Yellow or Red and I happened to see a picture of a Red one. I didn't know they made yellow until a month later. I had never even sat in a Prowler and was shocked when I found out the door only opened half way. My oldest son wanted to know how I was going to fit in it. I told him we could work that out later.

Hey Alley Cat..

You'd have to talk to Mrs. Chromer about Henry Vlll staying with us at the Colorado Event this June? A word of warning though, Jack the Wonder Dog got kicked out of the Golden Hotel two years ago at the Greybeard Event...so Jack may not be a good influence on Henry?? Jack likes to Drive Fast and Party Hard! We hope the Westminster Hotel is ready for all of us Party Animals!?
