I didn't buy mine for the purpose of turning a profit from it so I couldn't care less. The people I have met and the experiences over the last three years are priceless. In that respect, I have received more than I ever expected from the Prowler.

It so wonderful not to care about money or the appreciation of an asset. I wish that rest of the world felt the same about business.

I appreciate everyone's financial view on the Prowler, and while I have no immediate plans to sell mine, I would like to see the value go up. It is true that the associations and opportunities to express myself to other POA members has been priceless but, I still would like to see the prices rise on my investment.

You may be wondering why I call my car an investment but it is that and, it has to be viewed as an asset. Sometimes, hopefully not often, we purchase an item without regard to resale and it depreciates. Most often this is what happens to a standard car purchase.

When one buys a diamond ring hopefully, one never intends to sell it but it is still an investment. There is nothing wrong with wanting an investment to increase in value. It is not embarrassing to have an investment in a car and, have that investment increase in value.

Most of us are able to afford a Prowler as a result of astute business acumen. The Prowler is not really a practical car in any sense and, therefore, there should be nothing wrong with wanting to see it increase in value.

Almost every neophyte that views the car always asks "how much does one of these things cost." It would be nice to say that "originally they sold for around $45K but now there going for $85K."

This is just my opinion, and as such, since you didn't pay for it, it probably does not have much value. It is so seldom that I post a serious comment that I sincerely hope that you all don't begin to think of me as intelligent.

Gotta run as I promised Sweet Drawers that I would finish pasting my S&H Green Stamps in the book so that she could finish her Christmas shopping.

I thing it will be a long time before we will be able to get back what we paid for our new Prowlers. I know at least I will be dead long before that!
But, why care as long as we have fun withe it!

Rare1 Mikael & JCredvette - You guys hit the nail on the head -

I'm still amazed that after taking my cat to car shows for two full years, that it still gets lots of positive attention - that tells me that if people like it now, they will continue to enjoy their appearance in the future. I'm in it for the long haul anyway, and just plan on enjoying the ride.

If you needed this car to be an appreciating investment you shouldnt have bought in in the first place. Try Star Wars figures or Beanie Babies.

I think it is all about setting precedent...the Kat is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
With that in mind, here's the plan:
On Feb 16th, Scot will buy my Kat for a cool $100K (That's a precedent), who will in turn sell it to Gary C on Feb 17 for $110K (see the value rising?) Gary will sell the car to Cliff Watson for $120K and then Bobkat will buy all our Kats for $150K each...
