Just a quick note to Brad and others who posted information about removing "in your face" windshield wipers. Thanks! I took you advice and we can see (at least as long as it's not raining).

Seriously, it's amazing, there really is the front of my Prowler out there (it really is a big improvement over abstract imagination..especially when parking in the garage).

Jack is especially grateful that the windshield wipers were removed (he is only 10" tall) and it was very difficult for him to know what was going on out there.

All kidding aside, it really is a big improvement. This website is great for suggestions and matter of fact solutions.

Cool! Our windshield wipers have lived in the trunk for a year along with the socket wrench to put them on in a minute if it looks like rain. The lines of the Kat look better, and anyone into cars usually notices.

A good coat of Rain-X on the windshield will help you see if you do get caught in a rainstorm with or without your wipers. I do all my glass and mirrors with this stuff and the water jsut beads right off.

It is the rearview mirror that blocks out about 35 % of my field of vision. I am considering removing it. I have a 99 so I don't have the temp. etc. I still would lose the lights on the mirror.

Chromer - I being short like Jack, couldn't believe the difference it made when removing my wipers. Waited too long to do it. There is a hood out there to be seen

Just A quick question, Whats involved in taking the wipers off. I've pulled the cover and taken the nut off but the wipers didn't pull right off. Should I pry it off some how? Is there another retainer some where? Help!!! Alan

Having met and cruise with both you and Jack I think the thing you most have in common with Jack is the resemblance to Sasquatch.

Alan: after removal of the oem nut put a little wd-40 on the spline and let it soak.... be ever so careful not to pry with any tool that may cause you to damage your vehicle.
let the WD do its job and they should pop off with minimal effort......
