Story (as we were told) is they left a bar girlfriend or wife driving, hit a tree, the female driver lived, alcohol was a factor. ------------------ |

And you posted these why? Any tragedy is bad but, what is worse is posting pictures of that tragedy for all to gawk at. I pray for them and their family. ------------------ Mods: 2001 Speed Yellow Porsche Cabriolet |

People need to think about the relatives that are left and the lives affected before you put the keys in the ignition. Holidays are ruined for the familys involved. CABS ARE CHEAP. This message has been edited by Gary C on 02-18-2005 at 08:54 AM |

I hope we all take the graphic reality of these pictures as a reminder of how fragile our lives are and drive safely! ------------------ |

They were sent to me from a factory person who thought they were a safety reminder for performance cars and driving intoxicated, others have posted prowler accident photos to illustrate the cars condition after an accident as I know of no crash test footage. If you want them removed go ahead, but its the SOBERING truth. I am a Paramedic and have seen these accidents far to often turning your head won't make it go away. It shows the car after being removed from the scene not the victims involved. If its in poor taste remove them, but I am done posting anything at this site. ------------------ |

Bob, if you were referring to my mad face, has nothing to do with you, but the carelessness of the accident and I am thankful to you for such a post and we need to be reminded to be careful. I thank you and I am sure all of us feel the same way. Again TY. |

Bobkat, I agree the pictures are a wakeup call, especially since we are in a holiday season and the alcohol seems to flow way too freely. I for one think that the pictures should stay as a sobering reminder, and welcome all your contributions to this site! ------------------ |

Thanks Bobkat for the post. I assure you these pictures have changed my outlook on how I will drive my cat from now on. It's a fun car, but its sure not worth dying for. It is a wonder anyone lived. Obliviously, no further crash test are necessary. Ken |

This was a tragedy yes, but I think the pictures should stay and I don't think they are in poor taste. I think we need to realize what can happen to our car in the case of a bad accident. Hopefully it will wake some of us up to drive more carefully. Bobkat - I don't think you should be done posting at this site because of someones opinion. You have made great contributions here and I think you should continue. Thank you for these pictures! ------------------ |

Bobkat, You did the right thing to post these pictures. We need a reminder like this once in awhile. Sobering yes and that is the purpose. And thanks also for your other post about your plant visit and the new color etc. It was very informative. I don't read all the posts but I always read yours. p.s. and thanks Cliff |

THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THE POST! I think we all need see what can happen when you do not pay attention, drink and drive or what ever the heck happened. Also, I do not agree that it is posted for purposes of gawking. I am sure no one here is happy that someone died, but as car fanatics it is very interesting to us to see what can happen to our beloved cars. Keep em all on the road gang and peace to the person who died. ------------------ |

BobKat, I think the pictures should remain and I believe that posting them was the correct thing to do. If it offends some people, too bad. If it makes one person think about how they drive and keeps them alive, it is worth it. Most of us agree with you posting them and want you to continue. I think that most of us in this car hobby that have collected cars for a long time appreciate the message you were trying to send. ------------------ |

Bob, Not to worry about HiHo. He's truly the "lone ranger" when it comes to posting on this site. I agree with everyone else in posting the pics. He never has anything positive to say about anything and is the first to blast anyone with his negative feedback. He never shows his face at any of the events. Only in here does he show what seems to be his normal negative attitude. I dont know about you, but I associate myself with people with a positive attitude. "positive is, is positive does". Don |

Bobkat, it is simply pictures of a wrecked car. It is not bloody, gory or gruesome. I don't particularly like to see a wrecked cat but I think it served its purpose and I think the overwhelming positive response should reassure you that you did nothing even remotely wrong. Go buy yourself a new Prowler, you deserve it and you haven't bought a new one for a couple of days. lol. Thanks for ALL of your pictures. ------------------ |
