When we got our Kat it was a long time before I paid any attention to how the seat fit me. The car quickly became so much a part of me that I forgot all about my 24 years with back trouble and managed to ignore the pain for a long time. It was never anything serious, but a car seat with the wrong shape has always been a problem.

Now after I spend a few hours in the Kat I get the typical aching back. With a some trial and error I found that a small square cushion behind my butt and lower back solves the problem. I sit a little forward with my head a little lower and my knees do not quite touch the dash. Everything fits and it feels great.

What has your experience been?

There is one thing you do not mess with on my cat is the seat position. There seems to be a small sweet spot for comfort or pain. It took me a month to figure out the seat. I be comfeeeee now.

No problems...one of the most comfortable car seats I have experienced. I'm 6'2" tall with a 36" inseam but I'm still comfortable in the car. My only problem area is lack of footspace down by the pedals but I usually cruise shoeless to get around this. No I don't have big feet.

Hi Donny

I am 6.2" and 302lbs and have found my sweet spot for the seat aswell. I too have had to add a little support in the lower area and find I can now drive 5 to 6 hrs with no problem.

AS Lavka said with long legs and "B-- Feet" the peedles do get in the way, so I have a special pair of soft leather shoes that fit like second layer of skin to "Just" drive the Prowler.

Over the years I have driven many cars, each one is different but none have been as enjoyable as my Prowler. So the little things really are only things I will remeber as I get older that made my Prowler special.

Ever drive an older Jag with shoes on, not much room.

Since installing sheepskin covers (I love their comfort), I have been unable to find that so-called sweet spot - I prefer the G Spot, but will go with the other! I thought I found the new spot that finally felt right, but then took the cat in for a new tach and the tech moved the seat on me New searches have not found the prior spot. Oh, would I love to have 6-way power seats!

Maybe seat experience hasn't really changed much over the history of hotrods; some people sit in the seat and some people get off on it.

The seat fits me like a glove!

I am 6' (182.88 cm for you northerners) and like Lavka have a 36" (91.44 cm) inseam. I usually get comments like "Your kinda tall for that kind of car aren't you?" hah. I am a skinny gent (except around the middle) at 175 lbs (79.38 kg) so getting in and out is mostly leg work! I have to say though, I can bend my surgically repaired knee quite a bit better now than when I first got the kat!!!! I can almost get my left leg out without lifting my rump.

I don't have any problems in the foot area - I am only a size 10, so I just stick my left foot all the way to the firewall and let it rest there.

I'm 5ft 8in 195 lbs. The seat fits like a glove. My wife is 5ft 6in. (I won't give her weight but she looks good ,real good) We both agree that the Prowler seats are more comfortable than those in our 99 Deville. I have a bad lower back and just spent 10 plus hours in the Cat with no back pain or fatique afterwards. Most comfortable seats of any car I have owned.

I guess it's just me. I''m 6'2" and 185 like you guys and I'm so glad to hear you're comfortable. I had back surgery last week and they they say I'm fixed (my back, that is), but right now I'm not comfortable. It's nice to hear the prowler seats work, and I can hardly wait to get healed up and back behind the wheel. My advice to anyone is to get out there and enjoy life while you can!

my only "problem" is that the seat does not bend backwards enough for me to be really comfy... but I've never seen a vehicle do that without a lot of spare room in the backside anyhow. Sitting straight bothers my back, but at least this is less with the Prowler then any other vehicles I have had the same problem with.

I'm 6' 2" and have had back trouble in the past. I think the seats are very uncomfortable and I have owned the cat for 2 1/2 years and haven't found the sweet spot in 16,000 miles. I think it needs more lumbar support. It still is the coolest car on earth.

Try some cushions, Ed. It took me a while to find the right one. Man, there's a market here. The custom, Prowler back support cushion in matching colors and logo. Go for it!
