As we were coming home from San Diego today, we flew by a Dodge dealership - Glendora Dodge and out of the corner of my eye I saw a black kat. I flipped a u-e and went into their parking lot - parked my kat right in front of it and we got out and started looking at it.

It is a 99 with dark purple flames - very subtle. The front bumpers have been removed. Typical for that dealership, the sales guys were staying inside out of the heat so I went in and asked a guy for a card to write down the info. He gave me one and a pen to write with. BTW - these guys knew NOTHING about Prowlers - they were admiring my blue with the light blue pinstripe (after they walked outside because I had his pen) and asked me what year mine was... go figure.

Anyway, the car belongs to the owner of the dealership (he just got an orange - one salesguy called it copper, the other called it gold...) and had a sign on the front windshield that said 6300 miles. I saw a sticker (like the kind you get a jiffy-lube) on the inside of the windshield that said "org. miles 7850" - I don't know which is right.

I don't know if it was ever titled - belonging to the owner and all (probably has for the mileage) but here is the VIN:
1P3EW6561XV502493. They want 45,995 for it and I asked if it was a firm price and they said yes - I don't know if it really is or not - these guys seemed to be out of it. If you want, I can get the phone number of the place for you.

Cliff - A used '99 Prowler with 6300 miles or more for $45,995?

Ohhhhhh, I'd pass and buy a 2001 for less money, brand new, and full warranty.

I remember that Prowler, wasn't it owned by a guy from So-Cal who use to post here? Said he sold it a couple of months ago - can't remember his name? Rich???

I have a person looking for a NEW 2000, with MSO, only.
Thanks for mentioning it though.

I told the sales guys that it was too high but they were typical salesmen tellng me that the prowler has gone down in price than what it used to be... I let him have it both barrels... again they confused their markup as actual sticker...

Its almost a crime the lack of product knowledge that most sales people have today. Its an insult to have to even talk to some of these people. I would enjoy going back into car sales if it wasn't for working weekends and holidays.

Mike - Is the curator job ready for me when the Krehel Prowler Museum is nearly finished?

Alley Cat, If you keep misspelling Janitor on your application you will never get hired. lol.
Make him get a haircut before you hire him, Mike.
