OK, I give up. I went to the link and can't find it. What is the headline that the Prowler news is under? ------------------ |

Joe- They stated that Candy Apple Red as well as Green were BOTH APPROVED colors. What does that mean? They can change their minds, but I don't think they will, especially on the Candy Red...probably spring 2002 or first run 2003 would be my guess. JMO This year they told us that Gold and more Yellows are going to be built, up to 500 more yellows under 2002 production year. Who knows! Mike - Paul's post above is the correct information on the end to the Prowler, maybe sooner, if the supply of the 3.5 V6 is exhausted. Production of the cat/300M V6 is to end in April-May, 2003, as I understand it. I feel better now, I also couldn't find the story line at that link. Was it under the obituaries? |

Joe and Paul/ and the rest of the POA color seekers - A sneek peek into the the Prowler 2002 brouchure I seen while in Michigan, SHOWED the candy apple red as a 2002 Prowler color. I wasn't offered to look at that brochure, but being needy for knowledge, I opened it up to examine without permission. I'm sorry if this causes anyone any problems. Its coming!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------ |

The line is buried in the article about building the Crossfire. What does everyone think will happen to the original Red once Candy Apple Red is produced? |

Ed, don't worry about it, you can always put a giant sticker on your car to change it to the new red ------------------ |

Ed - since you took off those flags due to air turbulence, your red cat will go up in value |

Don't get me worng. The Crossfire is a good looking car. But is it me or does it look very similar to the Audi TT and the new Datsun Z coming out? ------------------ |

If you look under www.autonews.com look about 3/4 way down the page to see the article on the Chrysler Crossfire...here's the excerpt that caught my eye: "The Crossfire could be a replacement for the Chrysler Prowler, formerly the Plymouth Prowler before the Plymouth brand was killed. Thanks folks for offering color information. Rich, I think the Crossfire reminds me of a blend from one of those BMW sports coupe, a new-generation Datsun 260Z, and enlarged Audi TT. I kinda like the look of the crossfire...does anyone else like it??? |

Larry- I got a look at that brochure as well. It showed the Green on the Prangler. WOW was that ugly! The Candy looked OK but too small to really tell. Then again, they can still change it. ------------------ |

Black top with chromes!!!! I think I just might be warped enough to like it as well. I think the green would look good with the TGF Hard Top too. ------------------ This message has been edited by PaulR on 08-23-2001 at 08:37 PM |

The only reply to Bernhard's quote I have is that it makes it kind of difficult for a car to "catch on" when production is limited and your dealers are jacking the price for the first 3 years of production. I for one am glad I have mine and everyone is right that there is not a car in a show that draws more attention. So if that is not "catching on" maybe Chrysler is going to bring back the K car!! ------------------ |

I ordered a 2002 candy red today and they said it will be built in late December (per a phone call to DC). They said it was also dependent on orders and general interest as to when or how many will be built. No word on the green. Also much talk of DC buying back silver and orange plymouths for what I understand is redistribution. |

Paul - the brochure I looked at didn't show any green color. I could have missed it, since I only had a sneek peek at it. Maybe Ed is still camped out there pulling his weight on the dark green for his sister Edna? ------------------ |
