Just curious. When you were a teenager, what was your dream car? At age 15 I had a list of specs: Deuce roadster, channeled to 4" clearance,'56 chrysler mill, Olds hydro, motorcycle fenders, '52 chrysler taillights, '55 Pontiac rear bumper, spinners, and all in black lacquer with Von Dutch striping. ------------------ |

Didn't have a dream car until I started driving at 17. Then I would have settled for: 1963 Split Window Corvette Since that never happened, it changed to a BLACK PROWLER and that dream came true!!

Deuce Hot Rod or a 427 Cobra when I was young. I already have the Prowler so my ultimate dream car is a Deusenberg and if not that, then an 1935 Auburn Boat Tailed Speedster. Still wouldn't mind having a Deuce Rod. ------------------ This message has been edited by BeWare on 07-21-2001 at 11:10 PM |

I have had a number of "dream cars" In 1971 when I graduated from college, it was a '71 Plymouth Sport Satellite. Had to settle for a'70. Then it was a '71 Plymouth Duster 340....got that one. Then it was '56 Plymouth and I restored a '56 Savoy Sport Coupe. An early Plymouth was my next goal. I bought a 1928 Plymouth Model Q which I still have. Next was the Prowler and now my dream car is a Plymouth Superbird. I'm sort of in a rut here with Plymouths, but that's the way it is. ------------------ |

Todd- For 20 years I forgot about the dream until the guys at Plymouth had the courage to put the image they thought we share into production. The Prowler is what generations of car lovers hoped for. Most of us never had the time or resources to build or save for the car we really wanted no matter how hard we worked, but the dream was always there. It's like all of life--if we go for the dreams we share, they will become reality. There's gotta be more. ------------------ |

Ed Betcha wanting a black, lowered, chopped top '50 merc with frenched taillights and skirts would tell your age more accurately than chocolate. Larry's coontail would be an anachronism. He's just a kid. ------------------ |

"Stu Lark" (Studebaker Lark), now that was a car, or a "Ram AM" (Rambler American). Classic cars, fast good looking, babe magnets and hot sellers! Why if I wasn't 110 yeas old, I run right out and buy one of each today! Instead, I am happy to hawk my plastic Prowler gears, pistons and wrist pins while sipping a strawberry Geritol and dreaming about speed shifting with my real strong clutch foot and my other foot "mashed down" on the gas peddle. I am sure am glad my Prowler has an automatic as sometimes I forget to shift and have over revved my Jag. For that matter, I sometimes forget who I am. Got to go, my 26 year old girl friend needs me to help her wax her surfboard. She uses Zino and the results have been fantastic. She's as shinny as they come.
