Has anyone tried the Jet Performance module designed for the 330M on a Prowler yet? I was told to expect 13-15 HP gain at reatr wheels. Tech at Jet said no one there has tested it on Prowler but thought engines were same. Also, I do not understand the difference between installing a computer chip directly and having this unit that mounts under dash with LED readouts and is "wired" through firewall. Can someone educaate me on this subject so I can make an informed decision. Thanks Marty ------------------ |

Hey now, the prowlers computer is filled with epoxie or something like that so you can't just add a diferent chip......... ------------------ |

I know what you are talking about. Venom Performance make modules like that. What it is, is a little box that you moutn under your hood and it wires into the TPS and MAF or MAP and depending upon application other sensors and such. And then there is a little red LED that runs inside the car so you know when it is working. I installed one on my stealth i use to have but i saw or felt no gain. But that was a venom 400 module. JET might have something better. Can you give more info on the unit and also a price? Hey now Paul, it wouldn't be the first time. I am wrong all the time about alot of things as you know but I also know it takes about 5 minutes to get the crap out of the prowlers computer box..................so its not fool proof..........its the string data that is aluding me.....................I am about as computer dumb as they come................just a ol tater here............ ------------------ |

Jason- link is www.jetchip.com - doesn't tell much. I called them 714-848-5515. They have this "box" for a 300M for $259.00 I saw comment on webpage for 300M club that one guy has installed and likes perceived change - no real data however and the page had no way to contact the guy. Awwwwwwww cmon, just be the pig....lol. Hey, if it works then i will buy one. I think, what you should try to do is get Jet Chips to give you a gauruntee that if it doesnt meet your expectations that you can give it back for a full refund. If you dont want to do it then i will try to do it and see what the results will be. But i think you should try it since you have been doin the research on it. Do you know how it hooks up? Jason - tell you what I am going to do. I am working on my interior today and next couple days (carbon fibre dash overlays, leather cat logos in door panels, etc) while I am waiting for Bill Gallagers's shipment with air intake and suspension braces. Also, my trailer hitch is due next week - it was either that or make a choice between my wife and a cooler of beer when tailgating at football this fall !! I ordered some Purple Hornie glass packs and my exhaust guy is fabricating an x-pipe for installation early next week. AFTER all that is done, if we do not find some other sucker to try the thing from JET, I will order. I see where you are going to order G force gears. Are you having second thoughts? Jason, within the next week or so, I'll have a laptop programable unit hooked up to my Cat. It will adjust injector pulse and spark timing. I'll let you guys know how it worked or didn't when I find out. ------------------ |

Ok Marty I see how it is  I guess ill do some leg work to find out what can be done or cant be done. My kat isnt going to have any down time anytime soon so i guess i will work on it in my free time. As for the gears, i am having second thoughts abouit g-force gears b/c you cant even get them yet. I was told they were going to produce a shipment and i would be notified but that hasnt happened yet. At least at Prowler Pro they can ship it to you over nite and i can have it the next day. Im thinkin about going with that as soon as i get some bills paid. Im about 45 minutes from Philly and you are welcome to come out and stay. Except, is it going to be b4 woodward or after? Im going to be gone August 14 - 22 out at woodward and the nascar race. Just post it up here or email me if my email is working.Al - Tell me how you make out with the laptop and what kind of adjustments you can make to the engine. By the way, can we put a 180 degree thermostat in our kats to make them run cooler and get a little more oomph. I have done it with all my other cars but they have been older FI or Carbs. Jason - I have done some leg work already. The following companies have either told my on the phone or by email that they have nothting to help us: ProTech, Hypertech, Superchips, Fastchips, Dyno Sources. I'll-Sho-You Performance has not called or emailed yet. You saw my earlier post about Jet. Finally, Kenne Bell says they are working on a chip now that should be developed by Novemeber. Well, maybe ill get a hold of someone at Jet and see if i can get a unit to do a "Test" run for them to see if there will be a possibility of a market for Prowlers.
