I must say that I thought that it was kind of strange when I heard about it, then when I saw the pics that were posted and with the problems associated with actually getting the grill chromed I thought why not. So today I went to pep boys paid 12 bucks for a 25 foot roll of chrome door edge molding, and then went to home depot and bought some snips(wasn't in the kat so no babes hangin on it) the snips were 9 bills. I came home looked it over and 30 minutes later I had a cool looking grill. I will try to post pics later. But I must say it really looks cool on the blue. If you have thought about it I would suggest it. PEACE OUT |

It has to be easier to repaint the grill if I did want to remove than having it chromed. It looks awesome I am sure I'll keep it on. |

I believe someone posted this is availible in widths greater than 3/8 inch. But I have been looking everywhere and can't find it. I have looked in or called most Advanced Auto Parts and Pep Boys stores in and around Atlanta. Is it availible wider than 3/8 inch? Any suggestion where to find it? ------------------ |

Way cool Alley Cat! Customizing on a shoestring and having it look super is always the most satisfying. ------------------ |

Rich - check the paint and auto body supply stores where body shops buy from. Try auto body wholesale outlets, but look dirty, and they will sell to you - works for me. Donnie - my middle name was "Free", now changed to "Cheap" If you are really, really particular - I'd suggest spending the $400 with them for the chrome job. There, I'm off the hook now This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 07-21-2001 at 03:18 PM |
