Hello to everyone, this is my first post. I have been reading info here for the six or so weeks I have owned my Black 2000 "BADLUC" cat and you all have provided some very useful information. My question is what air pressure do most people run in their tires? It seems the tires may wear longer with higher (up to 44 psi) pressures but ride gets pretty harsh and bounces more. As a daily driver, I would like to have the best of both worlds - smoother ride, but good tire wear.

Thanks for your responses!

I run 32 PSI in the rear and 28 PSI in the front when the tires are not hot. Here in Texas, with the little volume of air in the low profile tires on our cats, your pressure will increase dramatically when driving in 95+ temps. I experimented a lot when I first got my 99 a couple of years ago, and these are the pressures that appear to provide the best ride without to much road walk or abnormal wear. I have 19k miles on her and no sign of tire wear yet.

Marty - Welcome to the POA!

Good question, with thousands of answers.
From experience with my Corvette and the Prowler, I run 33psi front and 37psi rear. Vette has 40,000 miles and boots look new. Cat has 12,000 miles, same. JMO

For the 2000 Prowler the book gives incorrect information. The sticker on the car is correct at 29psi front and back...The 2000's were changed to give the car a smoother ride. They started to use a different tire with different tire specs. I ride for comfort not dollar savings...Why have car that bounces around to save tire wear...THE TIRES DON'T WEAR OUT EARLY ANYWAY...My 99 cat had 15000 miles on it with no wear front and back. Due to no rear end torgue, these tires will last a long time.
