I just turned 25 and suspect that I'm one of the younger prowler owners out there. Just curious where I fit with everyone else on the board. |

For a variety of reasons, this is generally not a "kid car". For one thing, to really get the idea, you kind of had to be around in the '50's and '60's. That's the good news. The bad news is trying to get in and out of the things at some of our ages! |

Dear Pingless(?)and Ben: Oh,to be young again. I have read your recent posts and I thought that perhaps it might be insightful to share a bit of information about me. I very well may be, the oldest Prowler owner on the board. In any case, some of my previous posts have won me some critical acclaim and I am hopeful that this one will also be deemed an all time classic. I am currently 114 years old and I would like to share with you my story on acquiring a Prowler. I was taking my usual cruise, in my Ferrari Dino, to the local Starbucks / doughnut shop. I went inside to get my usual 5 chocolate doughnuts and 7 cups of Java and, as always, thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this stimulating experience. When I returned to my car, 600 fat grams later, I was shocked to find this beautiful young whipper snapper sitting in a sexy way inside of my car! In any case, I was quite smitten and, therefore, we exchanged pleasantries and decided to hang together for the rest of the day. I think that she might have seen my surf board and maybe she wanted to wax it! As a true gentlemen would, I immediately confessed to her about my existing relationships. After some serious commitments from her I then promptly dumped grandma who was 33 and had recently wrecked my XKE, and took up with this 26 year old filly. I couldn't help but notice her sexy short shorts and wow, what a pair of gams. They had to be all of 40 inches long as she was at least 6 feet tall. I am six foot 5, she was almost my height in her heels. After a few minutes she explained to me that her real passion was Prowlers and, that she had actually come across the street from the Home Depot lot where she had been squatting in a new Prowler. Apparently, the owner spent too much time looking at her and didn't take her for the ride that she craved. He was later seen writing the Board about his experience. In an effort to maintain her friendship, we speed off to the local Chrysler dealership and I began the process of acquiring a 2001 Silver Prowler. At my age, consummating anything takes a few minutes and, during my absence, she was seen speeding-off with the sales manger who said something about showing her his Viper! I was crushed to say the least. I thought "oh well" and went ahead with the Prowler purchase anyway, as with the loss of grandma and the 26 year old filly I had a few things that I needed to pick-up at my own local Home Depot. After the selection process, I was ushered into the F&I office where I meet the finance manger and she was beautiful to say the least. I could not take my eyes off of her extended warranty and I think that she was a bit embarrassed by my attention. She reviewed my financial portfolio while I told her how I had been dumped by my latest love. She told me that it was a sad story and, that she too had been hanging at the local Home Depot with high hopes of meeting a Prowler owner. She was mature, about 29 and we talked some more and then I invited her to attend a local ZZ-Top concert with me. She blew-off the rest of the day at work and we split in the Prowler. We were a real couple..... The concert was great and one thing lead to another and she invited me to go to my house and see my etchings. We arrived at my 12 level home and parked the Prowler in my 29 car garage and bounded up the 12 levels like to love struck kids. After three hours, and 2 liters of oxygen, I got my wind back and she toured the rest of my home and saw my etchings. She was a bit perplexed about the 33 restrooms and I had to tell her about my age. In any case, we had drinks, she had a very dry double martini and I had a Metamucil cocktail, and we watched the sunset as it reflected off of the Ziano Brothers polished hood of my new Prowler. We recently celebrated our second anniversary (2 days) and we are in the process of living happily ever after. Ben, I couldn't help but notice your list of cars and I was wondering if you thought that at my age I could survive two Hummers or if you thought it best for me to stick with a occasional one? Those things are so big and I'm not sure about climbing up on it. Hell, at my age, I be satisfied just to "PT Cruise" through life for a few more months. Anyway, that's my story and, as the self-proclaimed oldest Prowler owner, I only hope that I am able to finish my finance term of 84 months without one of these young things killing me. LOL! Funny story....... At 114 years old I hope that I can still drive ANY vehicle no matter what it is. That is if I can still hold my body fluids in without machine help! -Ben ------------------ |
