Was talking to Danny last night I told him I'd like to polish the front end a-arms ect,and he said someone else had taken their's apart and there's some bearing or bushing that needs to be replaced and you can't just buy that part you have to buy the whole works or something like that, interested in finding out which part it is???

Keith, correct, but that would matter only if your CHROME them, not polish them. When you chrome them, the bearing race gets eaten and needs to be specially made and replaced. This requires special machine work. Carlini sells chrome covers that "fix" the need to chrome the A arm's.

Keith,

Don't spend your hard earned money until you see my car at Crazy Horse.
I have the Carlini Chrome A-Arm Covers. They're a good looking low cost option to chroming eveything.

Will do Larry I was thinking more of the polishing than chroming them and then chrome the struts ect.

Larry,
I would tend to agree with you but at the rate they are going it will be quite some time before they become availible again. I have been on the waiting list for almost a year. Spoke with them recently and was told that it was still several months away and I am supposed to be next on the list. I understand personal issues come first (health etc.) but the chroming process is also the other problem from what I understand.

Cnote6,
I have a line on a set of A arms. I was going to purchase them and start getting together all the parts I would need to make the swap. Taking my time and having them all ready to go ahead of time. Getting them chromed etc... This way the Kat is down the least amount of time and I'm not financially straping myself to get everything done at once. Can you help with a list of parts needed and the special problem encountered in the above process. Thanks in advance.

By the way these are 99 arms. What the heck will I be getting myself into? Really want to do this but how much aggravation is this going to be? By the way Cnote6, tried that number you listed and got a fax machine.
