Larry, I know about the party lines, but they were gone when I was able to use the phone. Same with Beanie and Cecil, and the wash tub ringers! Think that's what she meant? All the other stuff I have first hand experience with! I am OLD-but not as old as ED ------------------ |

Every single solitary one...I'm as old as the hills I think..what about Krug's or Dugans who used to deliver bread, cupcakes..cakes to your front door and let you pick out what you'd like to buy.. well now it's time to go back into the home now.. ------------------ |

Well, I can remember all of them, but I never personally had a phone number with a letter prefix. Old? nah Gray hair? I prefer to say that I wore the color down until the primer is showing through. ------------------ |

I only remember 24 of the 25. I do not remember number 20 which was Beanie & Cecil. As a consolation, because there have been several others that remember all 25, I do remember the last time Gary C had a date. Does that count? Scot ------------------ |

Sassy, what do you mean remember? Aren't they still current? Last year the operator asked me the phone # I was dialing, and I gave her GArfield 1-7398 without thinking. This is a long time customer of mine. You should have heard the disgust in her voice. Hell, I bet my kids remember most of that list. Got to change my depends now, I got too excited. ------------------ |

Scot - If you can remember that far back, we are going to give you credit for 25! Pathetic, isn't it! Twitch - I remember first having 7 people on party line, then it went to 3. Did that ever suck! Who remembers putting key in ignition and pushing a button on dash or floor mounted switch to start the car? Two piece front windshields, hand carb chokes, and vacuum viper motors? ------------------
