Saw a Gold Prowler on Woodward Remember that post. Well I can elaborate on it now since the lid is off the kettle now. I was told that is was one of the DC's cars. AWESOME. I personally think that this will be the colors of all colors for the Prowler. To me it has a very change color look (Lots of candy). With a black pin stripe. Also from what I understand, this color will migrate to the PT Cruiser eventually. I was talking to a DC exc. the other day, and they mentioned some idle talk about the last Prowlers made will be awesome. Sort of a grand Bon Voyage. I will order one of the last ones. ------------------ |

If you remember, on Sasy's older post I said...
quote: I never said it wasn't Gold. I knew it was, but again, I am obligated not to reveal information before DC is ready. At one time, they were going to call it Aztec Yellow, but after the Pontiac Aztec came out, they decided they wanted NO connection to that at all! Can you blame them? All of the remaining Prowlers planned will be awesome! That goes without saying, just because they are a Prowler!! ------------------ |

CJ I was at a independent service station and in the garage there was a Pontiac Aztec as a dart board, That said. the ugliest car on the road. Every time I see one on the road, I say, what were they thinking of. PS I am talking to a woman that can take your picture of your personal Prowler and make a wall clock out of it. Sasy- I have used Zymol Carbon Wax since day 1! I turned DavidN on to it and his Black '00 is awesome compared to what it was before. I like the way they base their Wax on tint color. JOMO I still like the Zaino Quick Detail though. They do work well together. ------------------ This message has been edited by PaulR on 06-04-2001 at 09:25 AM |

Prowler-Keith...... I don't believe there will be any special changes to the car itself. Just the colors. Since you are new to the board, I will repeat for you, that my husband is an executive at DC and was on the original Prowler Team. Because we are DC employees, we are obligated not to reveal proprietary information on any of DC's product plans. There have been many discussions about this issue, many feeling that is "hogwash". If your contact at DC is telling you he can't reveal anything, that is because he can't. I have very strong feelings about this issue (as everyone already knows based on past discussions). Our integrity is extremely important to us (my husband and I) and we will never reveal information before DC is ready to release it to the public. There are a lot of people out there who talk to vendors, people they know that work at DC or the plants, etc. etc. Some of the information that is gleaned is not always accurate, some dead wrong. I still feel that if anyone has information like this that they, also (being a DC employee or not) should keep it confidential. Of course, people will do as they please. We, however, will stick to our guns and follow the rules set forth for us. These are just my opinions and feelings on the matter. Personally, I think it is much more fun to have the suspense and be surprised!! There are a lot of other things to be more focused on at this site....like having a GREAT TIME and meeting new people! Okay, everybody, don't jump on me and start bashing again. I've been subjected to that enough already....and with regard to my position on proprietary information.....either you get it or you don't!! ------------------ |

Thk U for your post I understand where your coming from and of course waiting is fun and exciting. I'm impressed that your husband was part of making this conversation possible. I take my hat off to him BIG TIME, when I said my friend couldn't tell me anything I meant out here we don't get much info on them he sold the first Prowler on Vancouver Island where I live and so far he has only been able to get one more red one since the 1997 purple one, and he's a big dealership to PK |

Sasy- The carbon wax is for all the DARK tintbased colors and the creme wax is for the light based colors. Really works GREAT and stands up to our Texas HEAT! Their prewax CLEANER WAX was rated #1 by Consumer Reports over 40 types tested. I was shocked that the Maquires was rated #27, WOW! Their tech support has been great also. ------------------ |

Thanks PaulR Hi FatManInTheBathTub I really don't know that one. I can ask my relative at DC, but I really don't think I can say. Kind of of hoping for a press release from DC any day now. (Hoping for PT Cruiser news too), I have partnership in an advertising agency, Real World Group, and they usually get them.

Sasy, Zymol has the Carbon wax for darker cars and a Cream for lighter colored cars. They also have a few other specialty waxes for imports and the like. I too use only Zymol on the car. Love how the surface felt after using just their HD Cleanse, but was more impressed with the car after the Carbon wax was applied. Tom Kalski ------------------ |

FatMan.....it doesn't mean anything.....it just means that they are considering all options and no one will know until they make a final decision. There will be a press release on this Friday with regard to the Inca Gold. I will have a picture for you then. It's always interesting to see people speculate (including media) on what manufacturer's decisions are. They change their minds all the time. Just because someone sees something one day, doesn't mean it will be there the next. It's why I always say don't count on anything. Sort of like the comments I made above on the color name for the gold. ------------------ |

Did I miss something? Seems like a few of the responses in here talk about the end of the Prowler (or at least hint about it). Has there been and end date or color announced? ------------------ Mods: 2001 Speed Yellow Porsche Cabriolet |

quote: I hope that is the case but, don't buy one or hold onto one thinking that. Or worse, thinking it's going to be worth a ton of money the day DC kills it off. There have been alot of cars (as limited or more limited) then the Prowler that when production ended did not go up in value till a number of years later (or not at all). One that comes to mind is the limited ZR-1. Take a cue from dealers, a dealer is in business to make money. They know when the end date is and yet they are taking thousands OFF the sticker price to move them. Why? Don't get me wrong, the probably will go up in value but, it may take a number of years if not a decade or two for anyone to see any real increase off of what all have paid for theirs. ------------------ Mods: 2001 Speed Yellow Porsche Cabriolet |

you can all watch my jaw hit the floor if our cars go up when Production stops, I suspect $ value will decrease quite rapidly after production stops. ------------------ |

Actually I heard today the recent release of the Mulholland was not as successful as DC hoped it would be. There is a hush hush to push the blue ones fast among dealers. I think they should do something wild....and limited..very limited like say 50 of a certain kind. Just a thought.. ------------------ |
