Just received a copy of the Summer 2001 issue of MOPAR NOW! magazine. It is numbered #15. There is a 6-page article titled "Prowler Power" Chrysler's hot rods duke it out for the title of the first "World's Fastest Prowler". The article was written on the Texas Speedway Event. Lots of pictures and great story. The article ends with "We think future editions of the Prowler Drags will be better than the first event. As word spreads, we figure fast guns will come to shoot down Mike Krehel, who now owns the title of "World's Fastest Prowler"............You can keep up to date on events at the club's website, www.prowleronline.com This is great coverage!! One of my favorite parts of the article says........ "Gary Polar and Danny Adams hit on a novel idea. They wanted to see who had the fastest Prowler with trailer in tow. Going heads up pulling their trailers down the quarter, Polar won by virtue of a hole shot, but Adams had the best ET, a 15.98, giving new meaning to the term "Trailer Queen". This is great coverage for the Prowler Owners Association. Congrats to all who were mentioned in the article. Mike Krehel Special thanks to Laddie who invited the magazine to come out and cover the event!! You done good Laddie!!! There is also a second 2-page article titled "World's Fastest Prowler" about Mike and his cat with pictures! Just too cool!! Better run out and get your copy NOW!!! ------------------ This message has been edited by CJ on 06-02-2001 at 12:40 AM |

Yes, Paul, you should be able to find it at most larger newspaper and magazine stands and bookstores! It might not be out yet, I have an advance copy, but I would imagine that it would be soon if it's not already. ------------------ |

PaulR asked, Who's Polar? I don't know but if there are two of them it would be bi-polar. I couldn't resist after the local, focal, bifocal, trifocal, yokel, jokel routine. Sorry. I will seek professional help on Monday. |

I think he was talking to GaryC and myself. I'd say he got a little confused and mentioned Gary/ PaulR hence the Gary Polar. I know he was in the sun all day! ------------------ |

Now I don't feel so bad. Jerry Heasley mispelled my last name. In the article, I am known as Mike Kreher! Also if anyone gets the magazine, I am running 8 lbs of boost, not 11 lbs. ------------------ |

Hey now Mike, I had mine on but was just wondering if that had to do with you hooking up so good with the street tires. I think if it is removed, the car would squat much better.............wana chat??? ------------------ |

Hey everyone. I just went to Barnes & Nobles. Mopar Now # 15 is on the shelve... Fantastic article. It brings back all the fun & memories from one great weekend... The article begins on page 30, 31, 32, 33 & 72. The Title is "Prowler Power". Lots of pics (even one of Pauley's rocket powered Prowler). In addition, there's anonther article page 66 & 67 on Mike Krehel's World's fastest Prowler at TSW. And, in this article he has Mike's last name spelt correctly. Than a pic on Table of contents page & little cover teaser. I'll take a little liberty & say we have nine pages of coverage... Thanks to Jerry Heasley & Cliff Groemer (editor) of Mopar Now. I think I'll go back & buy all the copies...
