Hey, I am probably crazy, but I never want my KAT to see a drop of rain, Anyone else like me. 453 miles, 2 months old I want to drive it but 20% chance of rain. What should I do?
(beside seeking a team of professionals around the clock) thanks

I garranttee it will not shrink if it gets wet. Mine does frequently and no problem, just a few hours cleaning.

its allright chrome. our prowler never sees the rain either. in fact our 1967 gtx that dad bought brand new had peobably been in the rain less then 15 times. thats 15 times in 34 years. the reason why se don;t take the prowler in the rain is casue we wnat to keep the undercarraige clean casue all that alumminom looks cool under there.

I don't deliberately drive the cat in the rain. However, it has been caught twice. Main issue is just trying to keep the undercarriage clean!

Chrome I feel the same way as you. I have been caught in the rain though 2x in one year. I tried to avoid it as much as possible.

cHROME... i AM THE SAME WAY...No rain on this Orange Kat please!!!!! I was at a guitar store (where I can be lost for hours) and could not relax due to the clouds forming. within 20 min. had to take the Kat home and returned in the 4x4. Neroussis runs the same in Denver.

Chrome: I'm in the same situation. The Cat has been wet twice in the past 3 years when caught in the rain. This appears to be a common theme for some of us.

coolhemi, dude, try spell checking, OK?
As for the rain, I was going nuts on my way to Woodward last year, got off the ferry in Ludington and it was a deluge! No option but to float it, I mean drive it, to the Conner Plant tour. It rained so damn hard I prayed it wouldn't wash me away. So much for not driving it in the rain. So, don't sweat it, it still works, kind of like, wash and wear.

As far as cleaning the undercarrage. I HAND POLISHED THE FRAME, so mine is clean. No I don't like to drive it in the rain but I would not think of leaving it at home and driving my caravan to Woodward, (cough GARY H). I put it on the lift and clean under the car a few times a year and wipe the aluminum off everytime I wash it. Looks better than new ...... still.
