Each of us owe those who served in the services a debt of gratitude that we can not possibly convey in a mere message. You put your lives on the line and fought for our rights and freedoms. There is no higher price you could have paid nor enough that each of us could do to repay you for that committment. So, to each of you, from the bottom of my heart: To each of you, your brothers before you, those to follow, and those fallen, my entire family salutes you and thanks you DAILY for a job well done. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------ Mods: 2001 Speed Yellow Porsche Cabriolet |

Having served 20 years in the Air Force, (10 in Germany, 1 in Turkey and 9 at the White House), I too salute the men and women of the Armed Services that sacrifice their lives, there ability to choose where they'll live and their limited ability for financial reward. I also salute the families that support the service member, sacrificing more than we can know. In salute of you, I'll be riding in Rolling Thunder along with nearly 100,000 motorcyclists (rain or shine) this Sunday through the streets of DC. Thank You, ------------------ |

8 years, 9 months & 24 days - USN. I thank those before me, those that will follow and those that remember! Whether peace time, conflict or all out war - someone has to stand guard. "Show me a hero, and I'll show you a bum!" A quote from Pappy Boyington. Good thing for all the "bum's" that have done their duty. ------------------ |

As many of you know I'm a double graduate of Viet Nam (26 months and 3 days) I'll be at Marietta National Cemetery tomorrow placing wreaths and flags on the graves of many of my Marine Corp brothers. If any of you can join the 3 of us I'd be honored. If not Salut' and raise a flag. Butchee, after riding Harley's for year's my wife decided it was her turn to drive a bike. Her experience lasted less than a 1/2 mile before she went head on with a car. Time heals and she's fine, but we got rid of the bikes. I just picked up a V-Star to at least have something. So if you're there, I won't be too hard to spot--not driving a Harley. ------------------ |

Butchee, you missed a great ride. It was the largest turnout since I've been participating (4 years). A lot of emotion and a great cause (even though it probably falls on the deaf ears of our politicians). I had to wonder why a bus load of foreign tourist were trying to walk by the Vietnam Wall and the Korean War memorials though. ------------------ |
