Just added the new 300m shifter with the chrome 2000 bezel, I thought it would add a new look to the Prowler. Install time is only about 15 min.

Looks nice, but too much chrome there for my liking ... high potential for glare too. I did something different with mine ... used a leather boot from a C4 Corvette and took a second '99 bezel assembly and fabricated what has like more of a 4 speed look to it. Tried posting pics but the file size was too large I was told ... ------------------ |

Steve, you have to be prepared at all times. When was the last time you drove the cat and didn't have detail spray and cleaning rags? ------------------ |

Last week I had the local dealer do a national search and he found one in San Diego but it was already sold. That was the only one that showed in the entire country. Like Wildcat advised, check the junk yards. I have even been looking into 300's and most of them do not have chrome. What size hex wrench is it, in case I find one unattended? lol |

Ed - get the hex size, give $20 to a valet parking guy, and you are in business. Easy to find, aren't they? |

Just talked with parts manager at MidPark that works with us. This part # jives with the new all LEATHER model. They have switched the part #'s to really confuse us! They are changing stock but keeping part #! Help CJ! ------------------ |

I went to the local dealership today and found the following: Old p/n is 4593524-AA, which has been changed to New p/n 4593491-AA. List price is $53.20. This parts description is for a 2001 300M shifter knob (chrome & leather). The guy at the counter said he would have it for me tomorrow afternoon. I'm not going to hold my breath for a DC sales persons word, that is for sure. I'll keep everyone posted on the status of my order, and if the part comes in as what they said it would be. Thanks for the tip "cnote6" !!! ------------------ |

I stopped by a dealer over the weekend to check out the 5 PT's they had and couldn't resist looking in the 7 300's they had sitting outside. 5 of the 7 had the chrome & leather the other two had just the leather Before paying for a knob at dealer, remove from box and see if it is what you want. It will more than likely be all leather. ------------------ |

It means that I have little trust or faith in anything that a C/P/D/J dealership or a DC employee has to say. I love my Prowler, and have basically never been without a Mopar since my very first car, and my devotion goes even farther back. But the way the entire DC corporate structure is treating its customers - I think that I have purchased my last Chrysler product. To me, 5-Star means better liars and thieves, and I've seen DC do little or nothing to correct the situation. Does anyone have the names or address to the regional or district or even national Reps for DC. I'd actually like to give them a piece of my mind - again. ------------------ |
