Will the Long Distance award be for cars driven or for cars trailered or driven? ------------------ |

If it is over 1000 miles (actually driven), then I guess I'm out of the running. ------------------ |

Gary C certainly has it for longest trailered! and the FatMan, if he goes, certainly gets it for longest, fastest? 1/4 mile. ------------------ |

Paul, if we stop and see you and Jody on the way, I think we could get it. Would look great next to the GC long distance award. ------------------ |

Again, we have not even talked about this yet, or decided that it is something we want to do. However, I believe that awards for that in the past were based on driving the cat to the event. I think I was second as far as distance to Grand Canyon, but was told I didn't qualify anyway because I flew to Vegas for the SEMA show and drove from there. ------------------ This message has been edited by CJ on 05-17-2001 at 06:28 AM |

CJ- you're right. I think driving it will be one and trailering another. Mike G.- That would be a long trip to Big D and back, but Karen & you have a place to stay should you decide to. I think the trip for Jody & I is about 1250 miles each way. 2 1/2 days probably! Laddie- When are U and Karen leaving and what route are you taking. I can probably meet ya'll in Memphis. ------------------ |

Paul, I plan to go up I55 through Memphis. I'm going to make a long haul on Sat June 30th all the way to Peoria to meet up with Midwest & east coast group. I think the plan was to spend night near John S. place. I forgot the name of hotel. I'll have to check back in old forums... Than we would have two days to get to Deadwood... Maybe it's time for a fresh DF topic.... ------------------ |
