Has anyone used, used the Tom Mills replacement. And I understand that two of the bolts suck. Is this true?

Andy, that is true. Two of the bolts that hold the bumper on (one of the four on each bumper) take a litte time to get off. It's a little easier after you done one of them.

This is true irrespective of whose bumper removal kit you use...

Laddie is right, it doesn't matter who's bumper kit you use it is the bumper removal that is difficult.

TIP use smallest 1/4" ratchet or break the tabs off the nust and use a ratchet from the back side.

When or if you reinstall the bumper use Lock nuts instead of the factory style (with tab)

I have Tom's kit on my Cat also. Two of the bolts, one on each side are tough to remove but that has to do with the Cat's bumper not the kit. The second one is a lot easier after you do one side. I removed the grille and that made it somewhat easier to get at the bolts.

After you get past the factory bolts (1 of 4) for each bumper, Tom's kit is very easy to install and adjust. I believe it's one of the outboard bolts that is difficult to get at - again, like everyone else has stated - its a factory thing. If you call Tom, I think that he has different color bulbs or lenses to choose from. Good kit for the money. Don't hesitate to buy from Tom!

What the "H?" I did mine without taking anything off the car but the bumpers! And I did it when I was going through a bought w/ MS, and couldn't see more than 50 yards in front of my nose. It's not that difficult of a job. 8 bolts, 4 per bumper - just take your time & stay cool. It will only take you about 1.5 hours or so. The end result is way worth it!

I have heard that the replacement piece might rub the paint has anyone had this happen?

Tom's kit fit perfectly on my Cat. It has been on for a little over a year and has not rubbed anywhere that I can see.

Ditto to Dave's comment. As much as I detail my own car, I've never seen any issues w/ rubbing of the finish. An A+++ & Kudo's to Tom Mills kit! Plus his design incorporates adjustability, which most of the other kits don't have.

Ok, is this an "illusion" or does Tom's kit actually go smoothly across where the turn signal is at? I thought Larry's car had the turn signal "flat"?! If not Tom's, does anyone make a kit that flows flat and smooth like our lights?
