Just drove my Prowler from Michigan to Maine. On the east side of Toledo, a Suburban ran over the remnants of a semi (truck) tire. Boom - Boom, Out goes the body panels! Had just enough time to jump side ways about a foot. Saved the grill, but the nose now has a hole in it, and the right lower side panel is split/cracked (top to bottom). No tears, but a lot of words were yelled. I knew there's a reason I don't like the "worthless nut" (buckeye) state! Nothing to do, but fix it and move on. Good thing I've been collecting spare parts. Happy Prowlin' everyone! ------------------ |

Friday nite coming back from a little shopping trip in a Prowler and just barely missed a large dead dog in our lane...about 10 seconds later a pickup truck in the right lane with a pile of crap on it loses a roll of carpeting...so here is a sheet of carpet headed towards the windshield...swerved into the median REAL FAST and only ran over the edges of the roll as it bounced along the roadway....about a month ago my wife and I were coming home from Indy on the interstate in her Corvette and I had a semi on the right side...doing 75-80mph and all at once I see a glare in front of us in our lane...it didn't seem to be moving...no one behind me so I stood on the brakes and again went 2 wheels into the median...IT WAS A NEW COUCH....still in the plastic wrap...about half a mile up the road was a pickup backing up along the stopping lane....wonder how he explained that one to the little lady ??? I commented just the other nite I have had more close calls with road debris in the last 2-3 years than I have encountered in all my years of driving...hope you get it fixed okay and just be glad it didn't cause a real bad accident or injuries.... ------------------ |

Actually, yes I have. My issue is whinning about the fact that "road debris" has never jumped up an bit my Prowler in any other state. Any other car, I wouldn't care, but not the Prowler. My pockets aren't as deep as the majority of the people that like to "LoL" at other peoples misfortune. ------------------ |

SPCL-T, the lol was meant a lot of laughs that they fix our roads with our tax money just like they fixed the school system with the lottery money. Our roads are deplorable and I would certainly never laugh at someone's misfortune or debris in the roadway. I ride a motorcycle a lot and I know how dangerous objects on the roadway can be. I am sorry you misunderstood my intent, I should have been clearer on my meaning. It was not directed at you but at our state's lack of maintainance. I appologize for offending you, that was not my intent. I try to take care of my cars and bike and I know I would be highly upset also. Again, I am sorry I offended you. CJ, your roads still are worse than ours. lol |
