I'm in the process of re-painting the front grill. Just wanted to get the "right" prep, primer, base coats, excellerants, etc. and any other tips for re-painting this piece.

Gene,
You need to research this. The type of plastic the grille is made of will require a special "adhesion" promoter. Go to the local automotive paint store in your area and talk to them. I know with the PPG products we use in our shop you'll need a good wax and grease remover to clean the road film off. Then the adhesion promoter is sprayed on just like if you were spraying the finish coat.You will have dry/flash times between each stage of the process.....good luck.
