Hey...who is still interested in getting garage lifts for the garage??

I am thinking about the Cytech "Double Park" about $3200 each. (drip pans, ramps, and installation extra)

or

I went the GoodGuys Hot Rod show, and the Hot Rodders support this R-toplift.
http://www.rtoplift.com/

I am trying to get these lifts (all-inclusive) for $3500 ea. (including factory install, ramps, and drip pans). I plan to get two garage lifts, and want to see who (Cytech or R-toplift) will deal the best deal for the prowler group.

Who wants a lift?, and how many?

Better push for closer to $3k even on a "volume deal" ... my solo job with 3 drips, front mt. bracket for the controlls, delivery & set up ran $3,600.00 ... so $3,500.00 is no "deal" on a Cytech ... and THAT is my lift of choice -- Great people and a Great Lift too. I am in for one if the price is right!

The four post ramp lift is way less money than the lifts you guys are looking at.

I've been looking for lifts as well, and was considering www.Mohawklifts.com
How do these compare to the lifts you guys are looking at?
I think they are in the same price range.

Yeah...I am hoping to get to the $3K ea. area if we have a quantity discount. The R-toplift folks want $3700 each, got them to $3500 show price (wow, big discount there..huh?).

Was planning to push for $3K/lift if had a few guys interested so I could bargain for that price.

I was planning on Cytech, and still might do that one, the R-toplift and Cytech are made in Wichita, KS...seem to be very similar.

I found that R-toplift includes everything (all inclusive)...drip pans, ramps, installation.

Cytech was ala Carte....pans, ramps, and install done by local shop. The local shop gave me an install price of $600 per lift....hmmm!

So, trying to get the best deal....bottom line.
Just asking around. I know Mike K. has like 4 of the Cytech lifts, like them, but if can save $1K or so with R-top...I plan to go to the lowest price, for what will do my need.

Check out the vendor link (cytech) then compare to www.rtoplift.com

I'm just shooting for a target price of $3K/lift (all inclusive)..hoping a quantity discount will allow that for all of us.

Post your ideas...

OK...
I just spoke with R-toplift, and they said they would send a comparison sheet on cytech vs R-Toplift so we can make an educated choice.

Will keep you updated.
I need the lift for extra car storage and want to clean the entire prowler (but not planning to polish the frame).

I'm hoping a deposit holds the quantiy discount price for others if they have a delayed need for the lifts.

Update....
Email from R-toplift co.:

The comparison of Cytech (Double Park) vs. Rtoplift did not copy over to this site properly.

It basically said that Cytech ala carte's the lift and prices out at $4200 ea. and Rtop lift prices at $3700 as all -inclusive (including install).

I wrote back to Chad Reed at Rtoplift and told him to get down to $3000. mark for us to be interested. I await his reply...but if you want to call him direct, identify yourself as prowler owner (think group discount) and let us know the best price we can get on these lifts.

Call me ignorant, but what type of garage door opener are you using in order to operate the lift in your garage. My garage has a 12ft celing, so I'm OK on height, but I would need some type of roll up door instead of the conventional type. Any suggestions?

Joe,
When I click on the site for their lift, they have a
"Features" and an "Options" link. In the features page, if
all they list comes with the lift, it doesn't sound bad.
Just like buying a car - these are the features that come
with the car - or in this case, the lift, and these are the
options available... as "extras"...

When you say the only options offered are the three drip pans, is that all they are offering? Are the four 8" casters, the three drip pans, the aluminum ramps and the jack bridges included as mentioned on their features page? I'm led to believe since they are listing indicated "features" of their lift (and since this thread indicates "all inclusive") that these items are included in your price quote of $3175. Can you clairfy? (Otherwise, why have a separate features page and a separtae options page...)

Any idea on shipping costs - or is that included too? (wishful thinking, but hey, maybe it IS included)

Also, what length are they offering since the 99" is the column separation wrt the width.

Any luck with getting a "comparison" from R-Top_Lift folks vs. the Cytech model(s)? Surely they want to sell their product and want us to know why theirs is "better", right?

I might be interested depending on some of the answers we get.

Thanks for working on this for everyone!

John, the R-Toplift web page is deceiving. Go the options page and you'll see that most of what was included under features are really options.
