I had alot of people email me about the Neon. If you have not seen this on a Prowler have an open mind, at first you think kids would be the only people to have this. I thought long and hard about it and here it is. This is for all the people who asked me about the install and how it is done. 30 and still a kid at heart. You've convinced me for sure.. Even talking to the guys at the office about it to see what the reaction would be, they all thought it looks great and not a kid thing at all. I'm looking at getting the interior lighting kit also. All in red. My only hitch is that I want the rear light to be in back of the frame crossmember so that it lights up the aluminum frame, if possible.. Didn't see a picture of where the front one is located?? Thanks again. ------------------ |

These are pictures of where I placed the neon in the front and where the transformer and switch are located. Did not want to drill a hole. ------------------ |

I also have neons under my cat (black with aqua neons). Just wanted to tell others another option as to where to mount the switch, with NO drilling. I have the switch mounted in the drivers side footwell, roughly above where the middle of your left shin would be if you're sitting in the car. I'm pretty sure there was a pre existing hole there and we just used a nut and bolt to mount the switch. Or we may have had to use a plastic strap. If anyone would like to know for sure, I can check on Wednesday when I take the Prowler to the dealer. Just for a reference, the total cost, including parts and labor was only $300. The neon brand used was Street Glow. If you don't want to do it yourself, my advice is to shop around. I had prices as high as $600 and they wanted to mount the neons in some strange places. |

Chris, your neons look great! Being that I didn't do the install myself, it's hard for me to tell from looking at your pictures how you have the neon in the front nose installed. If you don't have it this way alreday, wanted to let you know that we installed a shorter neon (I think 18"?) starting from the tip of the nose and running straight back. Like you, I wanted NO holes drilled, so brackets were made to position the neon tube in the center of the nose back. Doing it this way brings the light all the way out to the tip of the nose. |

Daryl, I also have a switch in that same spot where your neon switch is at but that switch is for my exhaust pipes, I had the plate custom made so I can switch it on and off with my foot. I have attached a picture of it. ------------------ |
