I believe the owners manual states 91 or better I try and use Amoco Ultimate or Shell Premium if at all possible. Only a few tanks of other brand in my Cat ------------------ |

I alternate between 89 and 92 octane - no problems. At the Grand Canyon event, because it was cold and I wasn't paying attention, filled with lowest octane - didn't notice any difference and no pinging occured. A local car repair expert who does radio and TV shows, claims you can use the lower octanes, if pinging does not occur. He uses reg. unleaded in his Corvette. ------------------
