I believe the owners manual states 91 or better

I try and use Amoco Ultimate or Shell Premium if at all possible. Only a few tanks of other brand in my Cat

I alternate between 89 and 92 octane - no problems.

At the Grand Canyon event, because it was cold and I wasn't paying attention, filled with lowest octane - didn't notice any difference and no pinging occured.

A local car repair expert who does radio and TV shows, claims you can use the lower octanes, if pinging does not occur. He uses reg. unleaded in his Corvette.

That shift is normal for all of the cats.
