I have been researching other sources for Prowler apparel and merchandise. I spoke with a licensed DaimlerChrysler vendor yesterday that I have worked with previously. They are interested in working with us to provide the opportunity for us to purchase Prowler-specific items. There are several ways we could do this. They have catalogs that we can choose items from and have Prowler logos applied. This includes not only apparel, but miscellaneous merchandise such as duffel bags, flashlights, keychains, windshield banners, high-line pens, pocketknives, umbrellas, etc. etc. Sylvia, at the CAAP plant uses other vendors in addition to some things from this vendor. I do not want to circumvent Sylvia, as she provides us items that we could not otherwise purchase. This is just an additional source. I have spoken with Sylvia about this many times and as much as she would like to, she cannot stock a large inventory of items. This vendor is also willing to work with us on providing these items in all of the Prowler colors. I would like to know how many people would be interested in having the opportunity to purchase these types of items on a regular basis. One of the ideas presented to me was to set up a "Monthly Special". Basically, it would mean that we would select a number of different items to be offered each month, changing the items every month. It might be more cost-efficient to do this, rather than trying to order a great many items at one time. What do you think? Is anyone interested? I have a meeting with them on Thursday and I would appreciate some feedback by then to determine if it is worth our while to pursue this.
