A very dear friend of mine always reminds me to be positive about everything.....so I am going to try to be positive and make the best of this situation. I received an anonymous email earlier this evening. By anonymous, I mean that I can't figure out who it is. I don't recognize the name or email address. However, they apparently know who I am. I won't go into details, but the jist of this letter was to tell me that there are several people who consider my presence in this group and on this board as well, let's use the word obnoxious instead of the one that was used. This person suggested that I "get lost and find something else to do with my time". This isn't the first time I have heard this. I would like to say that my involvement with this group and the board has meant an awful lot to me. I love my Prowler and I was glad to find such a great bunch of people to share this with. I don't mean to sound like a know-it-all, if that is how I appear. I have been involved in the auto business for a long time. Cars are a passion for me, especially the Prowler. I and my husband have always tried to provide you with accurate information and help with other issues as much as we could. I took great pleasure in being able to do this. I have enjoyed all of the events I have attended and been involved with. I have made a great many friends through this group. It appears however, that I have made some enemies also. I am sorry if I have offended anyone, it was unintentional. However, the last thing I want to do is cause any problems or issues for any of you or this board. We don't need any ill will among this group. Comraderie, friendships, passion for our cars and having fun was the reason this group was started. I have thought about this most of the evening, and I think it would be best if I no longer particpated in any way as to not cause any further consternation. I would not be comfortable knowing that I was a problem for someone, especially not knowing who these people are. I wish all of you the best. I will try to keep in touch with any of you that would like to, via email. Keep Prowlin and perhaps our paths will cross again somewhere out on the road!!!! CJ, I have to agree with your anonymous E-mailer. You have been a little outspoken lately, and failure to share your knowlege of things like future colors shows your not a team player anymore. Fear not as I will apply for a DC job and relocate to try and keep the information mill open to the POA members. Can you help me find a house in your area to relocate to. Tired of NY anyway. CJ, I am not quite as passionate about the whole Prowler experience as you, but I do read almost all of the posts and have NEVER read anything you have written and felt that it was devisive or ill spirited. There are any number of reasons why people will attack someone and were we able to crawl into their minds, we would most likely find out that they have issues that are unique to them and really have no relation to you. I certainly would hate to see you back off from something that you so clearly enjoy and that has enhanced this experience for me and I'm sure for many people. There may be one hundred people who appreciate what you do and have done, but you won't hear from them, I would not have written this note had I not read your post. Please don't let two confused people control you. I hope you will stay and continue to participate. |

Hey ya'll, I too hope this is an April fool's joke, but in case it isn't, let me share a few thoughts. Anyone that would criticize CJ doesn't know her. A few words that come to mind are helpful, friendly, thoughtful, selfless, and a good friend. While I do not agree with everyone on this board on every topic, I do share a passion for one the coolest cars around. I have never met a group of people quite like this- this site is the best experience this "car nut" has ever had the pleasure of participating in. CJ is an invaluable part of it. i have read many things that cj has written and lots of stuff she has not written...and i feel that by her leaving..it would have a great effect on the whole prowler page..as well as the world itself..you have written things that come under the word ............garbage..as in dumpster wich reflects commercial garbage not household...im glad the person asked you to leave..i was about to do it myself...i plan on leaving this forum also..as i have been getting under my skin lately....and need to step back and get into another forum that requires some thought and backbone...i wonder what theyre doing at .... www.yugo.com.......they seem to be not as kinky....besides my sister...who happens to have no neck....finds it easier to get in and out of the yugo ..as opposed to the tight confinements of the prowler..when the top is up....again..i respect your wisdom for leaving...hail agustustus ------------------ |

CJ, If this is not an April Fools joke, I would like to say that you and Bob have always been very helpful to the Prowler owners on this site and in my Southern California area. Please don't let an anonymous e-mail get to you. Remember that not everyone feels the same as your e-mail sender. You can't make all of the people happy, all of the time! Cj, I can't believe you stooped to this low level. I would expect it of Alley Cat or Gary C but I thought you were as dignified and professional as me. (I guess you are, come to think of it.) You got a lot or response in one day's time and almost all of it was positive. I guess you had the most believable April Fool's joke, unless of course Pena and Co. are lying about those tickets. I thought it was odd neither one of them had ticket numbers you could read in the upper right hand corner and one of them had reckless mispelled as recklass. I found it hard to believe she could spell on one ticket but not the other. Was the handwriting the same? Suspicious. 10 MPH in a 5 zone? Of course it is California, so who knows. Ed, I wish ours was a April Fool joke, but no,,,,,,,I still can't believe it. Really don't know what to say about this post by CJ, except that if it is not a joke, I would think a e-mail would not be the primary factor in your leaving. Your much too strong willed for that. I would expect more of a fight put up against it from you. And, if it is a joke, you got their attention.

John, I don't know if you can plead insanity to traffic charges but if you can, we could all write letters supporting that defense. lol. Tell the judge you saw the cop and still did it, therefore you must be crazy. Bummer, I was hoping you guys were pulling a scam and knew a cop who went along with the joke. Your insurance rates will be really nice for the next several years. |
