Hey guys, Do you guys think that once the North digs out form all the snow and the spring season arrives it will drive up the Price of the Prowlers. I see several Prowlers selling for MSRP up north. Will that change once the warmer weather arrivies? Thanks, ------------------ "Quality NOT Quantity" |

Hard to say Brian. The stock market is taking the wind out of a lot of peoples sails. Might not be that much F.U. money floating around. ------------------ This message has been edited by butchcee on 03-14-2001 at 09:50 AM |

I live in Indiana....what I am seeing here are dealers with cars sitting on their showroom floors since last fall, anxious to sell, and little to no interest yet from buyers....I think many dealers poisoned themselves by being greedy....some dealers can't get enough Kats to sell, they sell at MSRP or below and always have...other dealers are still thinking they have the LOTTO sitting in their dealership....time will tell on these dealers....I really don't think you will see any great amount of price increases in the spring...most dealers I know are just anxious to move what they have...last time I checked there were well over 1000 Kats for sale on the net....how many aren't on there ???...the pipeline is finally filling up....pick the color you want, and shop around....they are out there....think I told you earlier there is a blue in my hometown dealership that is just sitting, no interest at all locally...and this dealer has always sold Kats at MSRP....the car was transfered to them from another dealer in Ohio that got 5 shipped to them at one time and didn't want them...what does that tell you ??? a couple of years ago any dealer would have taken 5 at one time...could have dumped them at MSRP in one day...now, it's a different game.... ------------------ |

As of a couple of weeks ago there were a number of Woodwards still around. I think alot of hype and pricing had to do with the fact that the Prowler was to die with Plymouth. When it didn't and got rebadged, pricing seemed to drop (in some areas alot). There are a pile of them out there right now so you shouldn't have to pay anything over sticker and you could probably find a large number of those for less then sticker. Lance hawks his for typically less then sticker so you might have him look for one for you. He seems like an honest straight up kinda guy. ------------------ Mods: 2001 Speed Yellow Porsche Cabriolet |

There's a Black Tie at dealer in Louisiana. It's been there five months. Now, they would sell for sticker. Make offer below & good chance they would accept... John Kreeger (salesman) called me on Friday and said he was told to get an offer... His # is 504-888-2131... ------------------ |

Weather in Chicago and in the upper midwest has been poor this winter. Tremendous snow in December and lots of cold in January and February 2001 which is carrying on into March of '01. Up thru Feb. 2001 LOTS of road salt on the streets. Supposed to snow later today. Inland lakes still mostly frozen solid as of last week. All convertible sales are probably down in this area. In contrast, in December of '99 there wasn't any snow. Temperatures in January and February of 2000 were in the 60's and low 70's, respectively. Inland lakes didn't freeze at all last year. No road salt on the ground in Jan/Feb of 2000. ------------------ |

Yea NightProwler what's up with this winter stuff. Put 4K on mine last winter and not even 500 this year since October. Of course it has been at Prowler Pro for the last month getting the nitrous installed. Once the weather in the mountains clears I'll fly over and drive it back and hope the weather staysgood. Guess we'll just have to make up for it this summer. ------------------ This message has been edited by Marc/Colo/99 on 03-15-2001 at 06:54 PM |

Marc, in anticipation I recently took the cover off my Cat and left it off cause I'm ready to cruise. Just seeing it in the garage without the cover gives me hope. Maybe Father Winter will get hit in the head with a snowball and lay down until December next year. Windchill today in Chicago is 10 above with snow blowing horizontally. Spoons, if the stock market keeps tanking, or if it remains constant but the volatility is the same, then warmer weather isn't going to help car sales. Interest rates are at historic lows. If rates get cut by 75 bps this wont significantly help consumer demand is this market. People thought my market forecast was outlandish when the Dow was at 11,000 and the Nasdaq at 3,200-well Nasdaq did fall below 2,000 and intraday the Dow dipped below 10,000. Watch out for OPEC. If they cut production as threatened/promised then we are looking at $2.50-$3 a gallon this summer and this will negate any interest rate drop-then Greenspan will be out of amo and a PHASE IN tactic for any tax cut wont do jack for the economy for a few years-then pray for the projected surplus. Stock market directions lead the economy by about 9 months. Car loadings on railcars are down 18.6% for the cumulative 9 weeks ended 3/3/01 in the US. Down 16.1% in Canada. I predict overall asset values from equities to hard assets (ie. aircraft/locomotives/automobiles in the secondary market) will bottom out in 9-18 months. United, Delta and American revenue passenger miles are down about 4% year on year for Feb, '01. Liquidity has and will further dry up and then it will be time to buy, buy, buy if you have the cash available. Remember I've been hit in the head with hockey pucks a lot so my forecast may end up in the penalty box. I'll bring this post back in 6 months. Search Item: kroptopolis. ------------------ |

...now that OPEC has decided to cut production guess when you will see prices skyrocket at the pump? Just before July 4th. Can you say EV1? ------------------ |

things that go up, always go down, the question is when and how far. Right now we are on an economic downturn. I have seen my house loose 200 K in Value since September! It is not stopping anytime soon. Kat prices will continue to go down, and I suspect we will see a few dealers sell them at cost to just get rid of them. ------------------ |
