Hi, This is my first post here, I would very much like to get a Prowler but will I fit in it and be able to drive it? Problem being that I'm 6'4" and around 325 lbs. I fit in my "Vette" o.k. it's an '80 tho. The weight is not as much as a problem as the height I feel, enlighten me. Peace, Craig |

Welcome Craig. Its hard to say if you'll fit-guess it depends on your trunk length. I'm 6,1 and can fit with a couple of inches headroom. Go to the dealer, fool with the seat to make sure it's all the way down and back and give it a try. For sure with the top down. At first it will seem awkward because of the limited door opening, but you'll get used to it. Bring your checkbook good luck ------------------ |

Height vs. weight....tells me you are not fat, just a big guy....my son is 6'5 and 200lbs and is not too keen on driving my Prowlers at all....main problem is vision out the windshield, if the top is up, he must duck down real low to see out of the car(especially at a light)....if the top is down, he has the windshield frame directly in front of his line of sight....he also has very long legs and his knees touch the dash while driving...all in all he is not really comfortable in the car for long periods of time....another potential problen is the way the doors open...they don't swing out real wide like most cars do....they seen to only open up half way....I found out by putting the drivers window down that it is far easier to enter and exit the car with the top up....another thought here...I have had several Vipers and they are far easier for my son to get in and out of and far more enjoyable for him to drive...nice low mile Vipers can be purchased for less than a Prowler....not trying to steer you away from a Kat, THEY ARE FUN CARS, Just another idea....hope some of this helps....best bet is to try to get a test drive from a dealer or a club member....didn't notice what state you are from but I feel sure there is a club member close that will help you out....if you are close to E Central Indiana I will let you drive one of mine for a "test fit" ....GOOD LUCK KID ------------------ |

Welcome to the board, Craig. I guess for once in my life I am glad I am short!!! I always thought I would have a problem seeing to drive.....I am only 5' tall, but I fit fine and have no trouble driving. One of our engineers at DC was as tall as you, and he had no problem driving it. I think there are several guys on this board who might be close to your size and hopefully they will respond to you with their experiences. Good Luck......if you can fit in it and drive it....get one!! It is the most fun car in the world!!!!! |

Craig- Welcome to the POA/ProwlerOnline. Seeing as though I'm one of those BIGGER guys that CJ had mentioned, I love driving mine top up or down. I am 6'2" 315 lbs. The only problem is getting IN the Kat with the top up. I become a contoursionist, but that aside, no problems. The seat adjusts not only back rest, but the tilt helps me a lot. Soooo this means... write the check!! & ENJOY! ------------------ |
