Winter 2000 Route 66 News Excerpts: On November 3rd, The Route 66 Association and Memory Lane Diner hosted the PROWLER OWNERS ASSOCIATION Grand Canyon Tour. What a sight it was to see about 40 Plymouth Prowlers turn into the parking lot and line up for viewing. We had a chance to talk to some of the owners. "If I'm in a bad mood, I just get in the car and the smiles come" Jane Horvath of Folsom, Ca. (picture of Jane & car). After a special lunch prepared by Memory Lane, the drivers and passengers were interviewd by reporters and TV 36 followed by a demonstration of "smokin' the tires", and then they were gone, lead by a metallic pumpkin color right-off-the-factory-line model. "You drop 30 years off your life when you get in a Prowler" |

Roger, Cool - Can you make a copy of the article and send it to us? Jane will be surprised. Are you coming to the Death Valley Tour? ------------------ This message has been edited by CA Phil on 01-31-2001 at 12:50 PM |

Great Roger! The people at Memory Lane were very helpful and the Route 66 Association does a nice job in promoting the road. Thanks for all of your help in the organization and pre-running of the event. |
