Hey now, I was at the local dealer here and they now have a orange prowler. The orange looks so much better in real life than a pic. This color is called plymouth orange (for short). Here is the sad thing, this new blue prowler is painted the same color as other cars that chrysler makes (stock color) so from now on, I don't think the prowlers will have a special color of there own...................So you want a prowler in the same color as that 300M over there?????

I have not seen the Blue in person, and I'll be open until then, but from the pictures, I do not like it. Personally, a special car should have it's own colors. Now you see why I have an Orange Fatman~!

I don't believe it's true that the same blue on the Prowler is is offered on other Chrysler vehicles currently.

The color offered on the Prowler is "Prowler Midnight Blue Pearl Coat" and I believe the 300M is using Deep Sapphire Blue. The colors may be close, but not exactly the same.

My comment about the black earlier was that black was also offered on other cars.....not just Prowlers....personally I don't really care if the color is unique to the Kat as long as it looks good.....I have seen the Blue in person, and I like it(have one ordered)...but I also bought an orange one yesterday too...it was different...

The blue on the Prowler is unique to the Prowler. It is not the same color as the other products. It is my understanding that the paint used on Prowlers is a different kind of paint than the paint used on the regular production vehicles. Because of that, the color is not going to be exactly the same.

FatManInTheBathTub,

I posted some pics a couple weeks ago of the blue I took in Detroit. I also took a picture of the sticker (while not so legible)it states the color as Prowler Midnight Blue Pearl Coat.
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001639.html

It is a pretty dark color, but I thought it looked pretty sharp.

I just looked at my 2001 Sales Consultant Product Guide and it states the new colors are Prowler Orange Pearl Coat, Deep Sapphire Blue Pearl Coat. These books came out in October of 2000, so if the name was changed it happened towards the end of the year. Thought, maybe they changed the name when they saw the color on the Prowler. If it looks different then the other vehicle lines. Maybe the paints the same just a different name?

I have seen the blue Prowler in person, and there was a deep sapphire blue 300M at the same location. The Prowler midnight blue and deep sapphire blue are two diferent colors.
