Before the Prowler came out, I was looking for a 1970 Plymouth Superbird. That is still next on my list. |

Currently have my 3rd Viper...a 2000 GTS, steel gray w/silver stripes.....would just have more Vipers....have had 2 RT/10s before this one...the most awesome road machines I have ever experienced....have a deposit down on a new generation Viper convertable when it becomes available...approx 18 months in the future....just can't say enough good about the Snake...and it's made in DETROIT-USA... ................Y2K YELO X 4 ------------------ |

If Prowler wasn't available, I would have bought a 2000 Corvette. Would have wanted a Viper, but out of my reach. ------------------ |

I originally went in to buy a Viper, which was my first choice, but my local dealership marked the price on both Vipers to $89,995. So I bought my 2000 kat for $64,000. (This is what I expected to spend anyway on the Viper.) ------------------ |

Keep in mind slightly used Vipers are actually CHEAPER than a Kat at MSRP....a really nice, low mile Viper RT/10 can be bought for right at $38-40K...this would be a car with approx 10,000 miles or so....I also have a yellow 2000 Vette conv(wifes car)....they are a world class car, no doubt about it...but a Viper can be bought about the same price as a new Vette conv. new Vette is approx $50-54K and a 96-97 Viper GTS can be bought for that same general price range....many Viper GTS coupes (with 10K miles) are in the low $50K range...my daughter just purchased a red 97 GTS (4K miles)a couple of months ago for $56K......also consider Woodhouse Chrysler...they discount new Vipers and sell ALL KATS AT MSRP....have bought 2 Kats from them in the last few months...great to deal with...don't let a dealer get away with robbery, there are alternatives..... ............Y2K YELO X 4 ------------------ |

while I like the concept of the viper, what I do not like is the ride or the fact you have to basically look where it says viper to tell it apart from many other types of cars today. ------------------ |

quote: What else looks like a Viper? The stance, the width, the width of the rear tires, the sloop where the hood meets the windshield, the cutouts in front of the doors, the sound??? Great, now I got myself all worked up and wanting a Viper again. Steel Gray with Connelly interior...... ------------------ |

Would have kept my C5 vette, and bought a Rod to tinker with. Having more fun with the prowler than any other car!! Met a lot of great people because of the car too! |
