An addendum to this week's poll about car polish.

What do you use to keep your tires shiny and new. Spray or Gel? What manufacturer. Why?

Let's make a list of the different products available for tires and we will make this the topic for next weeks poll.

Please list your favorite tire product here to be included in next weeks poll....

Tire dressings:

brighest shine - vinyl guard - doesn't last long.

durable shine - Meguiars new gel - but not the ultra shine of the above product.

I use a 1 inch foam painting brush to apply.

I'm sold on either the medium or high gloss Meguiars tire dressing. They're right when they claim it holds up. It loses a little bit of gloss each wash but overall it's a very good product.

Incase any of you are laughing at Gary's post, don't.

To regain that new car smell inside, put a little dab of brake fluid on a rag and wipe your brake and accelerator pedal. Fluid interacts with rubber to bring out that original rubber smell that a new car has.

Just be careful not to get brake fluid on any painted surface. It will eat up paint in a hurry.
