Pulled in this evening after an uneventful trip home - Followed and led weather fronts all the way home, hope Ed and Sandy had as good luck. What a great escape from everyday life this last week has been. First got to drive my cat for 8 days and 4145 miles. Then I got to be with some really great prowler people. It was good to renew acquaintances with people I had met at CAAP and Woodward: Larry & Julie, CJ&Bob, Andrew, GaryC, Mike, Debbie, David&Erika, Phil&Jane. Just as great to meet new friends too numerous to mention and not forget someone. I was glad that I could shake Mike Krehel's hand to thank him for all that he has done for the prowler community. What a fun experience to share stories, tips and tall tales about our cats with each other and the many observers who came up to see what all these neat cars were about. Where else could I see Dean's 400 HP Prowler, Jerry's Orange Cat, Ed's RealRod, Paxton's Supercharged Cat, George C's chromed Cat, John Ross's Kolored Cat, Ed's Goldwing and be able to ask them questions about any little detail? Thanks to Larry, Roger, GaryC, LarryS and Al and the Ghostriders for putting together a great event. Thanks to all who attended. It was great meeting y'all and I look forward to seeing you again down the road. Phil |

Phil - Glad you had a fun, safe trip. It was great to meet the person behind the words that appear here at POL. Sondra and I enjoyed having breakfast with you saturday morning, and exchanging chat. Looking forward to our next meeting. Larry and Sondra |

Gary you should know at least part of the fun of these events is getting there. My Cat is so much fun to drive I don't think it would the same driving and looking at it in a trailer in the rearview mirror. My modified luggage rack withstood the test of Oklahoma I40. I'm ready to head off again when I can swing some more time out of the office. PG PRWLR |

Phil- It was GREAT to meet you. I know the luggage even withstood a car washing at the Riverside Hotel in Laughlin. " Hey Phil, don't you need to get your luggage? naaaaaaa, it's waterproof and seen worse!" That was AWESOME. Glad to hear you made it back safe.

So Phil you are the one that had luggage dragging behind the Cat. I saw your upgraded support on the rack. Good job. I owe you a plaque for the Longest Distance Driven in a Prowler Award.

Gary - Yes you owe Phil a plaque for miles! Make it special - he earned it! Will Ed be pissed? OK, one for two wheels also. Even though he was afraid of ice/snow at the Canyon. He really just wanted to stay at hotel and honeymoon all day (5 minutes). Sorry Ed, that is what Sandy told me. This message has been edited by PhxSuncat on 11-08-2000 at 09:08 PM |

Hey Phil, glad you made it home safely. You had one heck of a trip, and had you stopped by my house on the way to GC, you easily would have won the LDA. Good to see you again. |

Larry, pleasure was all mine...Woodward on the calendar already! Unless they can blame in Mt. Fever, lots of GC folks say they as well hope to make Woodward! I can tell you, the trip is a killer but darn worth it! See you in Motown if not sooner.TextText |

Phil, Glad you had better weather than I did. Sandy didn't fly out until 4:30 MONDAY so I was a day late or a day early. I went down to I-10 to avoid the cold. Great decision on my part and a special thanks to the weather channel. It was great meeting you and we will see you in the near future. The really cool thing was that we passed everyone going back to Flagstaff as we went out of Sedona. What great timing. |
