The Raincat and Sondra are back home from Flagstaff (going to NASCAR race today) but wish we could have spent sunday with our many good friends cruising northern Arizona. Most people go to the Grand Canyon to film the depth and beauty, but many visitors found the beauty to shoot was filming our great Mopar street rods! The Prowlers were the BIG attraction on saturday at the Grand Canyon and in the city of Flagstaff. Even flithy dirty, our cats drew the attention of most everyone - a dirty car show takes the cake! Speaking of cake, brother Cleverley had two birthday parties, friday and saturday nites. More to follow. The weather? Not what we wanted. The forcasts were changing hourly, but the snow didn't appear until we were returning to Flagg saturday afternoon at the 8,000 ft. level, and it was light flurries melting as it hit the ground. Lucky us, NO snow tires needed! New met friends - that is what we are about -the Prowler and the People! Nobody got shortchanged on this event, as Prowler TALK and meeting the FACES of the words we read on this GREAT website come together. I could hardly waste the time to sleep, thinking I wasn't meeting everyone there and knowing I missed spending time with several of the owners there in the short 26 hours I had with them. I appoligize to those I missed, and feel shorted (my own fault). To you fine people not attending, I encourage you to take part in upcoming events, as the rewards are much greater than you can imagine. I look forward to meeting you. The sun is out in Phoenix, and off to the races. I miss the group already! Let us do it again, SOON! ------------------ |

Marc in Colo. - Nyle in Mi. - Danny A. in Tex. - and others, watch for the truck showing up with your prize winnings from friday night's gift drawings. Lucky people! We had to leave last night before the finals of the big 50/50 drawing, but some LUCKY person is going to smile after getting $1200.00 in cash for spending $2. I'm waiting for the phone call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Suncat, You mean Gary won't have the stuff sent to his house? Would that truck be a Tonka size truck? Hope you all had enough fun for all of us who couldn't be there with you. Thanks for your 1st post of the trip, looking forward to more info and pix. Enjoy the race and go Tony Stewart. MRCAT2U |

Marc - Damnit! I even had my HOME DEPOT - Tony Stewart shirt on, but he didn't have enough for them today. Tony got up to third, but after his last pit stop, the car went away on him and the last 15 laps was a nightmare for the 20 car. There was no doubt that Jeff Burton's Ford was the fastest car on track, but I think Ricky Rudd would have won it all if he didn't get caught up in the accident crap. You like the Colorado event idea? I know all the others would love it if we can get them to go just once. Maybe we can round-robin the idea of national event from year to year between Colorado-Texas-Missouri. Us right and left coast people will just have to drive or fly in. If anybody thinks that is a problem, think of our poor, lost, lonely friend in Hawaii. ------------------ |

Just got in from the GC trip - what a fabulous time! There were many people who made this weekend's event possible and I dare not begin to name anyone because I'm sure to leave someone out....so thanks to everyone....everyone who put the work into setting up the event and everyone who attended. Thanks to Jim Hergert & Rosel for inviting everyone to their beautiful home on Sunday. The most spectacular scenery (despite the rain and snow and cold wind), especially seeing 34 (or so) prowlers in one place. It was wonderful to see my CA buddies, meet and get to know (another member of Laddie's family) Angelle Roussel who was actually my cohort on Saturday's event, meet new friends from TX, see Phil Genet again, and meet Mike & Judy Krehel and Mike Gatlin in person. PROWLER OWNERS are fantastic - I've met a lot of great people in the last 2 years and I really am very thankful that I didn't pass up this opportunity to see many of them again. Also have to add that the new copper color on the prowler looks fantastic! I didn't think I'd like it (from the color swatch I had seen) and couldn't envision it but it is really something. I wish I could say I have pictures but I was having such a good time, I forgot to take out my camera (again). Thanks again to everyone for a very memorable weekend. Catwoman |

Great Event, all that I can say is that I enjoyed myself throughly. Looking forward to the Winter POA Ice Racing Event and cruise in Steamboat Springs this January. Anyone interested? HATS OFF TOO EVERYONE who put together the GC Tour event. Too bad I will be overseas next summer. I am going to miss all of the events. The poor Kat will have to go into hibernation for a whole year. MARC, call me this coming weekend. I have your prizes. You will love one of them. But I am not telling what it is. ------------------ |

Too bad about the hibernation I know the feeling, my snake was sleeping for 10 months last year before I came back from Italy. |

Andrew, you could always leave the keys with someone to look after it for you then it wouldn't have to miss the events and I'm sure it would send you photo's of all the fun it is having hehehehe ------------------ |

Andrew - Wildcat is right! Either Nyle or Gary C. would take good care of it for you. Might even have afew extra horsepower mods made to it and TESTED. Might only need a new set of rear boots when you return - a cheap price to pay for such TLC. Give it some thought? ------------------ This message has been edited by PhxSuncat on 11-06-2000 at 08:57 PM |

Paul - Gary will have many more birthday parties in the upcoming year. But after the GC trip, he may be more selective on the victims! I wish that $20 bill went further at Black Bart's place - what a photo shoot that would have been! If I was Andrew, I would drive my cat to Dallas, and air pillow-park it on the other side of David's plane. Looks like a safe place to me? Maybe Lil' David Jr. on way, could go out to test drive it!!!!! Paul, you know the kid will be driving before 8 and flying by 10 years of age. Erika - it is a boy isn't it? ------------------ |
