FatManInTheBathTub,

Your browser cache fat.dbs file might have gotten screwed up. Try emptying out your browser cache directory. Remember to shut down your browser before you empty out your cache. Your fat.dbs file will not be removed if your browser is still running.

I had a similar problem lately and had to dump all the old "cookies" and start over. That seemed to fix my problem.

I just typed in "cache" in the "find files and folders" then deleted all in that............oofs.......I spoke too soon,I just got booted again :{......problem must be with the site??? Dan, where is that fat.dbs file? tell me how to find it please.

FatManInTheBathTub,

If you deleted the whole cache directory then your in trouble now.. Your browser needs a directory to store the files it downloads from sites. The webpages you see are literally running of your browser cache directory on your PC. If you have no cache directory, then you have no browser.

Do a search for fat.dbs, fat or fat.db and see what comes up? There might be more than one program that has this data base but focus on the path that leads to the browser type you got?

Being that your were able to still post here tells me you must have deleted some other cache directory in your system not related to the browser. What is your browser type (Netscape) (Explorer)?

I lead you in this path because when I have these type of issues I just empty out my browser cache files (NOT THE DIRECTORY) and all my problems go away.

Dan, I'm no web guru like you are but would you recommend that FatManinTheTub go to find his *.tmp files and delete them, too? I find that that seems to clear a lot of the "nearly full" errors I get. Would you agree with this recommendation?

I guess this is my final post for this site as i keep getting booted.......There must be a bug here that does this as i have deleted all cookies that i can find. Dan P. said i needed to delete contents of a fat.dbs file. I cant find this file. Someone else said a *tmp file which i cant find this one either. So good luck to all prowler owners and keep on prowlen..............and thanks for all the info.

Help is on it's way, do you mean cookies booted or server booted?

If it is cookies booted you must do a test post to set cookies.

Hope this helped.
