Do you like them?

Is the whining noise getting quieter?

Report in.

Stop right there.

There is a slight whining noise, I like it, it sounds like a Halibrand rear end.

I would never hear it, I play the radio. I noticed it from Marks car from Colorado but we did not have the radio on, we were listening for the 1,2 shift for the chirp of the tires. I would think with age it would dissipate. His was BRAND NEW.

RE: Prowler Pro Gears
Installation: very simple 3 hour job. Just follow instructions step by step, just average mechanic can install or absolutely no problem for transmission man.

Performance: WELL WORTH MONEY... I can get scratch with 1st two gears in manual mode. I normally don't drive over 100 MPH,will do that no problem and quicker than before. Just like putting 4.11's in your old car that had 3.50's. ;

Gas milage: Noticed very little difference
maybe 2 miles/gal.

Whine; I haven't noticed any.

But do you remember my exhaust...some what loud.

Thanks Wayne.

Marks car had OEM exhaust with tips changed to Borla, I think it is quieter than stock.

thanks for the quick reply

Did you race anyone from a standing stop?

Wayne, did you race a z28 Camaro or GT Mustang? How did you do with the gears?

I love my car since gears installed. There seems to be a little more gear noise but very little. Besides I think these cars could use a little more gearhead noise. Sunday I was at a stop light next to a Transam. When I started out I was taking it kind of easy when the Transam got on it and started to come by me when I was just about to hit 2nd gear and I decided to go for it. Before I got to 50mph I was pulling away and backed off while she kept going. In my opinion the gears are the best performance addition to my car to date (Mac Motorsports intake, Borla exhaust and soon to come ProwlerPro nitrous).

OK. I think it was more like two GUYS HAVING FUN. I don't know that I would call it a race as much as Wayne was airing it out with the new gears and David wanted a little more fun on the wide open hwy. They were also trying to measure speedometer readings. I think they were pretty close. Maybe a couple of MPH, but that is definitely + or - . It was a blast. I mean NO ONE FOR MILES. It was starting to dry out in between storms, and they just felt a little energetic! What would you have done? I knew it was just a matter of time before this happened when you're out there 12 in line. It was really kewl!
