They just posted the new total production figures and I don't know why the canadian version is listed separately. Gary, I don't follow you on the DRL, please enlighten me. |

Larry, forgot about running lights totally and never paid attention to the speedo to see if it had both like most newer cars. Do you think that is the only difference? Beside the window sticker as Larry pointed out. |

I'm not sure about other differences but there may be some things having to do with smog also. What say Tony Goertz? Eh? ------------------ [This message has been edited by Larry Lord (edited 10-03-2000).] |

For our friends in Quebec, all Canadian cars have English & French warnings stickers. ie the seat belt warnings on the sun visors. Canadian cars also have a 5mph bumper instead of US 2.5mph - something that would be very useful in - say Texas ! Daytime runnings lights are required and yes the speedometer is in metric (kilometers - so we can go faster in addition to paying more). An optional snow tire is available through DC Canada. ( and skis on the front) Emissions are the same for all Prowlers ( 99 on) |

Here's an e-mail right from the source. I forwarded a similar e-mail question to John Hinckley, and here is his answer on the topic: Mike Krehel forwarded your message to me in which you described the The Prowler which is built for sale in Canada is identical in every 1. Canadian version uses a kilo speedometer/odometer instead of miles. I hope this meets your needs - if possible, please E-Mail me a photo of Thanks, John Hinckley |

Did anyone mention that the Canadian Prowlers do 0 to 100 in less than 6 seconds while the US ones take that long to get to 60. Must be the air quality!
