Nyle, You really want one of those T shirts don't you? How can one resist this thread. 1 dog. "Ebinezer" 1/2 german shepard & 1/2 Sheltie 1 cat "Imposter" (we had 2 black & white cats and this was the 2nd one, I couldn't tell them apart) I don't count the possum and raccoon that visit the cat to have dinner. ------------------ |

Why don't we just give him the T-shirt. 1 Miniature pinscher (blk/tan) thinks she's a big one. We couldn't think of our home without her, we're her humans. hehehe |

We have a mini long haired Datsun (Yeah I know the spellings off but I ain't even gonna try) that's hyper as hell and pees everywhere he can. Good thing he's an outside dog. We're looking forward to chopping his nuts, or neutering him or whatever it's called before we move into our new place in 2 months |

Thanks, Larry, it was pretty upsetting. Especially that I couldn't be there when they did it.....I am an hour away from the vet and she said he wouldn't last that long. I have always been there to hold all my pets when I have had to do that. But I had a gut feeling when I left him there for the surgery, that he wasn't going to make it, so I made sure there was one last kiss and hug (he loved to give kisses) and goodbye...... |

Phil - I'm always glad to see people that give greyhounds a good home. They are beautiful animals that are often abused when they become of no $$ value to greedy AH's. When they run against the Prowler, also post their ETs. |

IN Phil - I second Larry's sentiments. I am a great animal lover and I think it's wonderful that you rescued those dogs. My daughter-in-law loves Greyhounds and has been seriously considering the same path you have. Have you had any problems with them.....are they generally good with small children, as they have two young sons? Any insight or info from your experiences would be appreciated. You can email me, also! |

CJ Greyhounds have been great pets and companions. The dogs I have are good around everybody. While I no longer have young children at home, have had youngsters visit and have had no problem. Frequently stopped on the street when we walk for kids to say Hi and pet the dogs. The reputable adoption groups are very careful about screening dogs and families to get good matches. |

IN Phil - Thanks so much for the input. I knew that Greyhounds in general are gentle animals, but wasn't sure about those who have been trained to race. My daughter-in-law wants one badly, and feels strongly about taking a rescued dog rather than from a breeder, etc. It's good to know you haven't had any problems..... OH, one other question......how can goldfish be overweight and how do you tell! [This message has been edited by CJ (edited 09-22-2000).] |
